The Wescott PLM Parabolic Umbrella

I'm at the studio today with a new toy--the Westcott PLM Parabolic Umbrella! This awesome light modifier is huge! It spans a few feet and does take up precious studio space--however it's light shooting with a gigantic ring flash!

It produces absolutely beautiful light, and I'm wondering how did I live with out the thing for so long! Ah! Yes, I remember--this is a huge light modifier--I've passed it up for smaller and more convenient umbrellas--which is a huge mistake--a great photographer shouldn't mind carrying some extra gear--in favor of creating even more wonderfully fantastic images.

I've been a little lazy and have been carrying just stuff that I can carry myself--and after firing this PLM in my studio--I'll be making a few second trips from my car or studio to the shooting location with the PLM :)
