Christina’s character was supposed to be “gay”. We see little hints of this in the movie. Sadly, the studio thought confirming that didn’t feel right. Writer, Marlene King said changes were done after test screenings.

Tatiana Papamoschou (as Iphigenia) Based on the Greek mythology of Iphigenia.  IPHIGENIA (1977) Iphigenia is the princess of Mycenae.  She is the daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. Her name means “strong-born”, or “born to strength”.

Keira Knightley (as Vera Phillips) Sienna Miller (as Caitlin Thomas) From the war-drama and biopic, THE EDGE OF LOVE (2008)

Winona Ryder (as Charlotte Flax) Christina Ricci (as Kate Flax) Cher (as Mrs. Flax) From the comedy and family-drama, MERMAIDS (1990) Christina was nine, while Winona was eighteen. For the 90’s, this had quite an offbeat story, and it was beautiful. It’s one of my favorite films from that decade.
