♠ - )       Something’s very wrong. Apart from the whole ‘having a deep connection with a stranger’, Yukio’s brother sense was tingling. Oh, yes, and the younger twin has some choice words for Rin once he sees him.

He was awake.

Somehow, he felt that he shouldn’t be. He wasn’t quite sure why, but his hand moved to his throat without being consciously bidden. There was a raised line there - a scar - that struck him as being similarly out of place, though he didn’t really have any basis for comparison.

Piece by piece, his awareness grew to encompass both his position and his location. He was lying down in a bed, one that he could tell wasn’t his own. Luckily for him, his body remembered what his mind did not. He was no closer to gaining a clear picture of this place, unfortunately. Meeting no resistance - why had he thought there would be? - he moved to a sitting position. The expanded vision of the room still told him nothing, but he did notice a certain sight that drew his attention from rows of beds and cabinets surrounding him.

Their face, like everything else in the vicinity, was unfamiliar. He wasn’t really sure if he was supposed to recognize them or not, their expression not giving him any clear clues about their relationship or lack thereof. However, regardless of who this person was, they were more likely to know what was had happened than he did. His lingering disorientation was clear in his words, but the purpose and insistence in them shone through just as well.

When his offer of the coat was declined, his left arm retracted, resting against his chest with the cloth hanging over the narrow limb. A whispered thanks followed, though it was evident that between the two of them, something was going to boil over quickly.

         —And it did. Such an outburst which would have normally been from nowhere, Aichi flinched and tucked his head in between his shoulders, rattled by the cry and anxious about how to proceed further.

What he could do, for a start, was calm down. Relaying thoughts over and over that everything was fine and he needed to stop before a cycle became the pattern, he slowed his heart-rate and racing thoughts enough to get a hold of himself.

Only when questioned about injuries did his head rise, and sharply. “I- I’m fine”. For the most part, and to avoid drawing attention to it, he hastily, slipped his right arm first into the thick sleeve, hoisting the longcoat back onto his body and swallowing the lump in his throat. For now, he needed to do his part in keeping them from any more headbutting.

His approach was lax in pace, to ensure he wouldn’t lose balance in his haggard state and worsen the situation; the last thing the other needed was Aichi collapsing on him.                      ”I haven’t… I figured it would be too dangerous to do so alone, so I held out for as long as I could. Sorry again… you’re probably feeling that as well”.

His shoulders rolled, intending to shake off his coat upon hearing the complaint regarding the weather. “Here, use this. You need to warm yourself before you fall ill”. After finally shedding the weighted cloth, he presented it with a smile as assurance, making sure to keep his wrist from view as much as possible.

     ☩—- When the other tried to hand over his coat, the teen flinched away, eyes flashing with a certain emotion. “No, you keep it. I'm plenty of warm.” Lie of the century, but he could withstand even colder temperatures. “You look like you need it anyway.” Rin said softly, trying to contain the anger that nestled itself deep down inside of him.
