You can call it Season 40, Season 14, or Season 1 it really doesn't matter! I hate people saying it's not season 1, for a lot of people it will be! The same way Christopher Eccleston's season was season 27 for some and Season 1 for a lot of people here. It's feeling very gatekeepy. Or specify the doctor you're talking about and which season in their run. Anyway, my point is, for a lot of us, this will be season 14, but let other have THEIR season 1.

But now, It feels perfect!

I feel people have been blowing this way out of proportion. RTD said that the new season will be season one, that's fine, to most of us, it's not important anyway and I don't know why people are getting so angry about it.

The reason for it is because, new people to the series will be intimidated by having to watch 14 seasons to catch up. With everything that's going on to relaunch doctor who, It makes sense to open it up and make it as accessible as possible to new people. (like it was for a lot of us in 2005)

And people having an issue with the idea that there will be 3 season 1s, We've always had a good ability to come up with names for these (New Who). In a few years, none of us will care. And will just be another moment that gets added to it's history.
