There is no Helper on earth like God, and those who knock earnestly receive what they ask for.

and renew a right spirit within me.

Whether you've overindulged in food or done something else akin to human weakness, don't be disturbed by it, don't add harm to harm; but, courageously pushing yourself to correct yourself, strive to maintain peace of mind, according to the Apostle's words: "Blessed is he who does not condemn himself, for he is tempted by himself" (Rom. 14:22).

Holy poverty,

which was all they had to meet their expenses,

made them prompt for obedience,

robust for work and free for travel.

Because they possessed nothing that belonged to the world,

they were attached to nothing and feared to lose nothing.

They were safe everywhere,

not held back by fear, nor distracted by care;

they lived with untroubled minds,

and, without any anxiety,

looked forward to the morrow

and to finding a lodging for the night.

In different parts of the world

many insults were hurled against them

as persons unknown and despised.

But their love of the Gospel of Christ

had made them so patient

that they sought

to be where they would suffer physical persecution

rather than where their holiness was recognized

and they could glory in worldly honor.

Their very poverty

seemed to them overflowing abundance

since, according to the advice of the wise man,

they were content with a minimum

as if it were much.”

Think, reason, and feel as if all your thoughts, feelings, and the dispositions of your soul are known in heaven—when you sit, lie, walk, work, pray, sing, read, or talk—everything, absolutely everything, is known. Therefore, live carefully, think and feel sensibly, live according to your conscience and the commandments of the Savior and God, treat people sincerely, simply, sincerely, kindly, purely, and holy, pray to God and the saints fervently and reverently.

There are no difficulties that cannot be resolved in Christ. Surrender to Christ, and He will find the solution for you.

Leave everything in God's hands and don't worry about the future. Whatever is beneficial and salutary for you, the Lord will send.

Boast of The Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Apostle Paul explains in this verse that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and the transformation of his mind and interests because of that sacrifice, is more valuable than anything else.
