Aspire To Inspire

Dear Future Girlfriend,

I promise to be the best boyfriend you have ever known. I will give you all that I am capable of giving you. My heart, my soul, and everything that makes me who I am will belong to you. Every day I will do something for you that will put a smile on your face. Every day I will give you a reason to believe that you’re the luckiest girl in the universe. If there comes a day for whatever reason, even one day that I fail to do any of that, I will multiply my efforts and make it up to you the very next day. The reason I make such promises is not because I wanna try real hard, or because I need you to love me, but because of the fact that you chose me and is willing to be that special part of my life, you deserve nothing less.

I haven’t always been this way. There was a time when I didn’t care too much about relationships. Didn’t care too much about love or showing love. I just wanted to be carefree and untamed by the rules and regulations of a relationship. I allowed myself to be damaged from previous loves and that made me lose sight of who I really am. But that all changed when I discovered a love on a different scale. A love I never knew I was capable of. A love I took for granted. A love that destroyed everything that I have been and made me into the man I am today. The man capable of writing this letter. The man capable of making these promises. The man you will spend your days with being cherished and cared for. I have learned from loss and from it I fully understand what it means to truly be in love.

I hope that when you do read this you will be able to say that you already know and feel everything that I have written to you. Until then this will be a letter from your past and a letter to my future. When the time comes that this letter is a letter of the present, I will be right there standing behind you after you read this and waiting to hold you and kiss you and tell you that we’ve just time traveled together. The fact that you know I’m going to do and say this before I actually do, will be living proof of that.
