Ripped Tissue Paper Craft - Snowman Art

What you’ll need:

Tissue Paper

Construction Paper

Glue

Crayons

Googly Eyes

Paint Brush/glue spreader

Steps:

Rip up the tissue paper into small pieces.

Use crayons or markers to create a snowman outline on the construction paper.

Squeeze the glue onto the snowman outline and spread it.

Sprinkle the tissue paper onto the construction paper/on the glue-y outline.

You can also add falling snow and snow on the ground once the snowman is filled in!

Finally it’s time to break out the crayons and googly eyes. The colors that you want to use will depend on what color of construction paper you used but pick something that pops out. Draw a mouth and arms and any other decorations you want.

Papier-Mâché Craft - Juice Bottle Penguin:

What You Need:

Pictures and/or books about penguins.

Paper Mache Pulp. Full recipe in link above

1 small juice bottle per kiddo

A yogurt container for each kiddo for the papier mâché

Water based paint (black, white and red).

Paintbrushes

Water and water containers

A covered work area

Paint smocks or old shirts

What You Do:

Mix enough papier mâché for every kiddo

Each kiddo should take a yogurt container with paper mache pulp in it.

They should then put small amounts of the mix on the juice bottle until the entire bottle is covered.

Put a ball of paper mache pulp on the top of the juice bottle to make a head.

Let the penguin dry for 12 to 24 hours.

Thanksgiving Craft - Coffee Can Turkey Painting:

You will need:

Turkey Template

Marbles

Coffee Can, 3 lb.

Non-Toxic Paint, whatever colors you want

Tape

Steps:

Cut out the turkey template

Using very small pieces of tape, adhere the turkey to one side of the can

Add whatever colors of paint you’re using. All you need is a few drops of each color for the coffee can method! Less is definitely more! 

Throw in some marbles and close the lid

Shake it, roll it, kick the can!
