don’t know how i feel about the concept of the backrooms film. i do like the fact that horror currently feels somewhat mainstream and is doing well box office-wise. i just wish it were done a bit more tastefully and that the films were generally better. i feel like internet culture and Cinema™️ should not be mixing as much as they are at the moment because it results in overly commercial and just plain bad films (eg. minecraft movie, five nights at freddy’s etc). keep these mediums separate PLEASE. if you want slop then go on tiktok. but please stop showing The Tiktok in the cinema. (however this will never happen because tragically these films actually make money and culture is dying a slow death)
