Greetings and welcome! This blog is dedicated to my obsession with Hogwarts Legacy. I play on PC, take too many screenshots, do a little art, make mods, and write fics.
This blog is pro LGBTQIA, pro-artist, pro-ship, anti-fascist, anti-JKR, and anti-puritan. Fandom is for freaks and I don’t tolerate bullying of creators for taboo content. Don’t like, don’t read.
I’m not a fan of GenAI with exception of audios so I will shit talk it here if I want. I do not consent for any of my content to be entered into AI platforms for any reason. I also discourage people from putting other people’s content into AI unless they explicitly state publicly they are okay with it. If it’s your own—do what you want.

in my heart of hearts, ominis would exclusively wear matching pajama sets because he's always so prim and proper >:) also idk what his hair looks like when there's no pomade in it so i had to guess lol (he probably wouldn't have a middle part now i think about it)
and sebastian would wear random band tees (i had to do a candlemass shirt cuz...i've been listening to a lot of doom metal....and seb might like it heh) and like plaid pajama pants
oh and his hair looks kinda the same (it's only slightly more messy)

My final art study is concluded, and my last two victims were @mrsluffy07’s Lysara and @pheexblack’s Erid in Kalisamiii’s art style. It was a mere coincidence that I chose two gingers for that study lol.
And while Kalisamii’s style at first looks like “pretty fantasy people with sparkles,” there are actually a lot of deliberate choices going on. The biggest thing I noticed was that this style is not primarily rendering-driven. It is design-driven. Every image is built around shapes, line rhythm, and atmosphere first.
So you can guess that I HAD A HARD TIME.
I will post one final conclusion over the next few days with all 6/12 OC’s together, along with one last honorable drawing using everything I learned throughout this challenge to really round this whole thing up.
But back to me dissecting everything meticulously:
Other than in the short comics I draw, I normally color my lineart. Kalisamiii, however, does not, so neither did I and honestly? It was incredibly freeing. I also started adding extra lines to create visual noise because that was the biggest thing her style gave me after trying to dissect it. Add comic-like lines that build shadows without really being hatching. Sort of. Kinda. But not. Idk.
Also, hair isn’t painted. It’s drawn. Armor isn’t rendered. It’s designed through linework. “Can the drawing still look beautiful if I remove all shading?” That felt like the core question behind her style.
And yeah, she puts an absolutely ridiculous amount of detail into her lineart, and I tried to copy that as best as I could without going mental.
Then there are the silhouettes. Every character has an instantly recognizable shape, whether it’s the loose flowing hair, giant wings, dramatic fabrics, or elaborate accessories. Nothing sits still, which makes her art so alluring because not only the lineart, but also the shapes themselves create so much movement.
It is all about the hair.
Hair is rendered using large, simple shadow masses with lineart defining individual strands. The hair almost behaves like fabric. There is very little messy texture compared to my previous studied artists. It frames the face and really draws your eye exactly where she wants it to go. Tried that with Lysara and I absolutely love how she turned out.
But while I absolutely adore the overall hair shapes, I don’t know if drawing every individual strand is going to stick with me.
It was annoying lol.
The color palettes I used were surprisingly easy and limited, so in a way I got to return to my roots but with a completely different application, and dang, I loved it. It felt cozy.
She also uses soft value transitions, with black mostly reserved for backgrounds while still maintaining strong contrast. And as you all know, I have a serious commitment issue when it comes to contrast, but I tried to push it with stronger light sources and some Add layers. We’re slowly getting there.
As talked before there is a hell lot of Decorative elements, extra lines, and sparkles everywhere. Kalisamii uses a ton of ornamentation in her work and, ummm… I am very lazy.
Honestly, the hardest thing to imitate wasn’t the rendering. It was learning how to think like a fashion designer and an Art Nouveau illustrator at the same time.
And yeah… while I could make it work with relatively simple HL characters, drawing armor or weapons in this style? No thank you.
In conclusion: I’m too lazy for this art style, but dang, do I love it. Maybe a few extra lines and sparkles will stick. We’ll see.
To me, a truly compelling character flaw isn't a random defect; it is simply a person's greatest virtue pushed to a destructive extreme. True narrative depth works when characters actively battle this internal imbalance, and the story becomes profoundly human when their efforts to change ultimately end in tragedy. This is why some stories and shows feel cheap to me when they reduce a character's trauma to mere aesthetic eye candy for the audience to feel sympathy instead of exploring the main character's messy process of navigating through it.

A story in which Garreth is a student, and Gabriel is his teacher. A story about how a reckless, flighty boy who lives only for the present came into the life of a man who had already seen too much darkness and had long forgotten how to look for the light.
This is a collaboration. I illustrated the "Outside" view, while @vagrandeer did the "Inside."

Gabriel and Garreth's couple is connected to the theme of space by a thin thread of meaning. While in deep depression, Gabriel associates himself with a deep, dark, and dense 'nothing,' whereas Garreth illuminates his life like a bright Sun.
They also resemble their symbols in personality. Gabriel is calm, somewhat gloomy, and quiet, but if you anger him — he's like a black hole, destroying everything around him. Garreth, on the other hand, is cheerful, loud and boisterous, warm and radiant with life. This is precisely why they are perfect for each other.
In my fanfic set in the canon universe, Garreth and Gabriel are also connected through the Heart and Soul Nebulae — since Gabriel, as a typical Ravenclaw, loves astronomy very much, and these nebulae in particular✨
The song about Gabriel and Garreth's appearance in his life is written in my native language, because that is what's 'inside.' That's how I live and think. Cherry has the English version.
