Hello! I wanted to ask if you ever had any lasso / fill type brushes for sale. I think I remember buying something from your kofi but I accidentally deleted my kofi account (totally forgot about libraries) so I can't recall what it was called. Is it in one of your brush packs? Thank you : )
Right now, CSP doesn't really have a lot of customization for lasso shape and lasso fill type stuff to begin with.
For lasso buckets, it's mostly just a matter of the settings for how much to extend the border beyond the lines it sees, which isn't complicated. You just move the slider until it's right.
For lasso paints, there's hardly anything to customize except the stabilization. It's just a matter of how and where you use it.
So yeah I had a few of them in there but only because their settings matched the brushes in the pack, not because they were particularly unique. They would have been named similarly to the brushes they were adjusted to.
I also have Quick Lasso Eraser on the assets page. It's just a utility lasso eraser for devices where it makes more sense to have a dedicated tool (like if you're using CSP on a mobile tablet or something) : https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1875033
id=1875033
Oh, that makes sense. I haven't used Photoshop in years either. What brushes have you been using lately (in both CSP and PS) That sketchy style you've been doing is so pleasing to look at
for CSP, ive been using a lot of pencil-y textured brushes lately. i like this one from this brush pack
i also use the artemus brush pack pretty often (i adjusted the settings of the brush dynamics to fit my tastes)
for colours, i use a buncha watercolour-esque brushes, you can find most of them under this post. (spongebrush can be found here)
for the shinigami doodles i used the also fairly well known RAZ brushpack which ive been using for years at this point
as for Photoshop i kinda just pick whatever, i dont use it to make full illustrations in my usual style, i just use it for classwork and doodles. this is a good brush pack for it tho
hope thats useful <3
Im not sure if this had alrdy been brought up before but i noticed that some of the brushes in the enpitsu files doesnt work with the symmetry ruler
i thought it was just a me issue at first but then when i used another pen it actually worked
Hey there!
Each individual freehand brush has a setting called "Enable snapping".
If the [Enable snapping] checkbox isn't checked, the brush will ignore all guides and rulers, including symmetry rulers.
If this item isn't visible in your tool property palette, you can find it in the subtool detail window (and make it visible from there if you want).
Hi! I'm a huge fan of the EnpitsuP brushes and there's something I'd like to ask: is there a place where I could see a list of all the brushes you've released so far? I noticed an artist I like uses a brush called 'PaintDig' and I was curious to see in which collection it was included. Happy Holidays and thanks again!
Hey!
I have overviews of each pack in the documentation page: https://pharanbrush.github.io/
It doesn't itemize every single brush file, but I put as many samples and lists and I could, with every set included. If I missed something though, definitely let me know.
As for "PaintDig", that one isn't named like any of my brushes. It might be something they renamed or duplicated and named themselves.

Crewpeck Beta
Iβve added **4 Crewpeck WCB brushes**. Instead of being mostly rough-dry, they are meant to have a smoother look when pressing normally, and rough-dry when pressing lightly.
This makes them look like cleaner brushes but still have some personality.
Hereβs a comparison with the rest of the set (not including the effects brushes)
Kropek is the dual brush subset, part of the Krupuk - Markers and Water Brush Set for Clip Studio Paint. You can find it here: https://pharan.gumroad.com/l/KrupukP
hello! i'm a huge fan of your brushes and really enjoy tinkering with making some myself :) i have a bit of a niche question, but do you have any tips when it comes to organizing / naming assets in the CSP material folders? i imagine that when making your brushes you end up with a lot of assets, so how do you organize them :O? no worries if you don't reply, i just thought i'd ask because it's a problem i've run into :P keep up the good work!!
Thank you!
Oh, I don't actively use a lot of Materials myself. I don't think I'm much help in that regard. I don't organize the material folders as much as I organize my brushes and brush groups.
I just chuck all my personal materials in my Pharan folder that has folders inside like, utility layers, paper layers, and roughly some folders according to which brush pack uses them.
And my downloaded ones (most of which are brushes anyway so it doesn't matter too much) usually stay in the default downloaded folder and I just use search or look for the thumbnail and specific name in the assets.clip-studio site.
I hope you find/figure out a good naming scheme though!
I submitted this free app to the Windows Store/Microsoft Store.
It's a GIF viewer. It lets you take a close look at them.
You can search for "gif enjoyer" on the Windows Store/Microsoft Store app. It's the one with the icon that looks like this:
I'm still updating it with a few more stuff but it takes a few days for the store to approve some updates. I'd like to keep the app simple and focused on what it does though.
I'm still fixing some stuff.
This isn't how I meant for this to work but maybe I'll just keep it this way?
A portable version is now available from itch.io
Since it's portable, it won't auto-update like the Windows Store version does. But it won't require you to make an Microsoft account or link it to Windows.
If you use it for work, I appreciate any small contribution!

Show/Hide Sketch Layer Actions
I uploaded this action set to Clip Studio Assets. Asset ID: 2083426
I was thinking to myself: I wish I could switch the sketch layer on and off without having to look for it and interrupt my drawing.
Because there's a reason why "turn off the sketch layer, drawing looks weird" meme exists. Having the sketch layer visible obscures the a lot of the mistakes on the drawing layer.
Being able to effortlessly turn it on and off would mean you can do it more often and check your drawing layer more often without hesitation.
So here it is, after a few days of experimenting with auto-actions and some help from my friend teteotolis, and the community!
These actions look for a layer named "sketch" and switches its visibility on and off. No need to manually find the layer. No need to tap on the little square to toggle it.
If you bind it to some keyboard, or controller, or macro keypad shortcuts, it would be as seamless as how animators flip between pages when they animate.
Alternatively, you can add the auto-actions to the Command Bar or Quick Access palette.
It has some limitations: It will only target the lowest layer if you have multiple layers named "sketch", and you need two separate shortcuts: One for show, and another for hide.
Download it from the Clip Studio Assets page! π

Make illustrations, manga, comics and animation with Clip Studio Paint, the artistβs tool for drawing and painting. All you need for drawing
It was nice that this was possible at all. But ideally, we shouldn't need this auto-action.
I wish Clip Studio Paint itself would just have this as a feature instead of us having to hack it together. If you think this would be a good feature to have, please send the Clip Studio developers a feature request to them to let them know it's useful to you!

Someone was asking if I had colored pencils.
IroEnpitsuP 2022 leans a little towards a stiff, waxy pencil on smooth paper. QuackwellP and IroEnpitsuP Side goes the other direction.
(QuackwellP is set to Multiply by default, but you can change it to Normal so it acts more like a colored pencil)
SmudgepitsuP is a good complement smudger for them.
These are all part of the EnpitsuP set: https://ko-fi.com/s/38b435014c
Hey, I was wondering if you have a brush recommendation for CSP brushes for Lineart with good line weight? I'm trying to improve the weight of my lines, but I'm having a hard time finding brushes with the flexibility I'm looking for
That's a good question. There are all sorts of ways line weight is used and the right brush is different for each genre and style of drawing, I'd say.
To start: A lot of my lineart brushes are adjusted with slightly LESS brush size dynamics because I always felt like the original default CSP brushes (like the Mapping Pen and G-Pen) gave an unrealistic and uncontrollable amount just based on the their pressure settings.
Some people do use them well for specific styles, so they're not inherently bad. But I definitely think they're not friendly to beginners or people who just wanna pick up a pen and go draw rather than obsess over the precise way they're pushing down on their pen.
More recent versions of Clip Studio Paint actually came with some new default brushes, including "Real G-Pen", which had pressure settings that felt more right to me. But it's a little noisy so its uses are a bit more specific.
I have a brush set included with EnpitsuP called Superclean Linework. Those are the ones I designed as cleanup brushes for anime-ish looking art. They come in several flavors: Densy, Softie, Smoothy, Sang. I varied them based on how I saw different artists preferred their lines: a bit on the sharp side? Slightly blurry? With a little bit of opacity fade? A little more line variation? Among these, Sang has the largest amount of size response.
Ultimately, it may be a little bit of both a subjective experience and depend on what your hand/tablet/driver settings/style preferences are like. If you're having trouble finding a brush for this purpose, I think you should hone in on if you're not finding the right brush because every brush seemed too difficult to control, or you can't seem to get results you like, or you can't find one with a feel that matches the physical tool you're used to.
I think it's also worth noting that some artist's styles also rely a lot on them just changing their brush size setting depending on what part they're drawing. So you may end up needing a brush that has less pressure-size variation than you expect. My recommendation is always to look very closely when learning from someone else's linework example. Try to achieve it yourself side-by-side and see where it doesn't quite match up and ask yourself why. Or ask others why.
Of course, there are a bunch of other "lineweighty" brushes too outside of this genre of mostly-thin lineart.
hi! just found your stuff and i'm having a wonderful time backreading through your blog. i saw the last update was a while ago- i don't want to come across as pressuring you to continue posting or anything, but i was wondering if you have any plans to
thank you for sharing your work!! have a good day!
I'm not sure I follow.
I just posted on Jan 1st?
What's the expectation?
