                     She denies and she denies—- he’s reduced to a crumpled mess on the stairs; back hunched over to reveal each dot of his spine through wet shirt that clings to his flesh. And on the inside, he’s a madman; spiraling and out of his self control as sobs wrack his body and hand reach up to wind fingers into blond hair on either side of his head. Get her out, get her out, get her out of his head—-!! Please, God, anything but this when he’s been condemned to this solitude with her for the rest of his days. And he’d worked so hard to get to where he was; to numb her out and turn his heart stone cold where she couldn’t reach it—- no matter how many times she made herself known and tried to resurface his guilt.

                                          She’ll deny it in honey words past her teeth and he’ll let out another pained sob that chokes out from the chasm of his throat—- shoulders shaking and hands seeking purchase on anything; clawing at his side and winding in his hair as he loses his mind all over again. And he’s been here before; can remember a day that she’d told him to ’ go away ’ and he’d spend the night clawing his way out of his own skin and screaming into the void for some sort of mercy. Please just give me a shot at something ｇｏｏｄ for once in my entire miserable life—!! It’s ruined now and everything was doomed from the start—— beginning the very day he was conceived and the world decided to place a little baby onto it’s dirt; someone that would grow into a monster with hollow eyes and a gun in his hand.

                     ❝ I do——-! I do, and I can’t even—— look at your                      face without being r——eminded…..  ❞

                                          More sobbing, his lungs are hungrily pulling in air and his mind is scattering all around the house that he’s become one with; skittering off on little spider legs and the tiny run of mice in the walls. The urge to blow his brains out and then wake up just to do it again—— he’s gone completely mad and there he is, unraveling at her feet like something dead and being consumed by a swarm of flies and maggots. And he’s saying it and meaning it; apologizing, not only for the things he’d done to ruin everything—- but the things the world have done to her when all she ever really deserved was something better.

                     She can't remember the last time she's heard conviction is his voice the way she hears it now—-albeit pained and broken, but it's there and it only serves to remind her of the day her mother brought a bastard child into the world; his bastard child——-the day she sent him away and the day that she disintegrated into nothing but ashes and star dust. He means ｅｖｅｒｙ word that manages to tumble out of his mouth and it's agonizing in the worst of ways; she holds onto the wall for her life and lets her weight fall onto it as she finally breaks—-face crumbles and it's then that she'll finally release a sob that comes from the pit of her chest——-sob after sob and her mind is a whirlwind; a whirlwind of sorrow and guilt and he's at the eye of it.

                                          They're broken—-absolutely shattered and there's never going to be a time that they're ever put together because they haven't ever truly been put together in the first place. She'd always had a splintered heart and he'd never really known how to use his heart at all——-not until she stumbled into the Ｍｕｒｄｅｒ Ｈｏｕｓｅ with skinned knees and mutilated wrists and a kindred soul; so Romeo and Juliet fell in love with no light at the end of the road—-only tragedy and heartbreak and darkness.

                                              ❝ Stop——-stop saying th—-at ！！❞

                                She doesn't want to hear it—-voice cracks and wavers but she means it. She doesn't want to hear what he has to say because every word that comes out of his mouth is a word that brings her closer and closer to wishing she had a gun in her hand to silence the world with an exit wound at the back of her head. Her face is flushed pink and she can't find her breath as she sobs so hard she begins to cramp—-he's sᴏʀʀʏ and she knows he means it for once. It's not fair because all she wanted was someone who cared, someone who wouldn't say something and not mean it——-she deserved that much, at least, deserved so much more—-but the world and God had no time for her. Left her in its dust to rot in a house she'd never wanted to be in in the first place with the only person she ever wanted—-and the only person who managed to turn the girl who was indestructible into ｄｅｓｔｒｕｃｔｉｏｎ itself.
