i've been a sbg fan since like 2022? it's been an interest of mine for a LONG time and it's the only thing i'm really interested in right now aside from sundy stairway.

at first aiden was the type to go ALL out for ashlyn's bday [and his friends bdays in general] [think mr peanutbutter aha] but after a while he started doing smaller, more personal gestures. he still plans things, and does still find a way to blow money.
tyler and taylor do most of the baking for birthdays and stuff, ashlyn doesn't talk much about her preferences for food so taylor sorta just had to work it out of ashlyn [begging to know everyday until ashlyn caved,,].
for birthdays they all hang out in the graveyard, or they go to the arcade or park. ashlyn prefers going to the arcade, but since she doesn't do well in busy, loud situations, aiden books the place.
before meeting the gang, ashlyn never really celebrated her birthday. she and her family had dinner together, maybe went out for dinner or something like that, but ashlyn just didn't like parties and that stuff. when she met the gang, it was the first time she really celebrated her birthday in a traditional sense. now she has cake! + time skip thing, if they ever had normal lives, they'd go ALL out for all their birthdays to celebrate being normal.
ashlyn's favorite cake is carrot cake or german chocolate cake[??], and her birthday dinner has ALWAYS been something like grilled vegetables and some sort of meat [though personally i think she'd be either pescatarian or straight up vegan (pescatarian because i'm pescatarian lols)]
gifts they'd give ash;
aiden - literally anything. if she mentioned anything a few weeks before her birthday, aiden would make sure to get her it. most of the time, it's vinyls or a good pair of boots.
ben - something personalized, like a custom burnt cd & items of that category.
logan - he probably has a FUCKTON of photographs, so like ben, he gives her those type of sentimental things. photos of positive moments, books, that stuff.
taylor - custom made jewelry and stuff she's made, very one of a kinda stuff !!
tyler - NO GIFTS. doesnt gift anyone. he does do gestures though, like he'll make her food, that typa stuff. [he's a very acts of service guy,, trust me]

i posted about this on twitter but i HAVE to expand on this, before i get angry and violent i HAVE to say this is NOT about anyone in specific, this is about EVERYONE who says this. and of course, trigger warning, i talk about suicide a lot !
there's like,, a stupid amount of people who think aiden will just "snap out" of being suicidal when he's like about to die, that's not how it works when you've been depressed for like the majority of your life . he has been depressed nearly his whole life, he doesn't care about dying and the only reason he didn't "like" dying in the phantom realm was because of how ashlyn reacted.
his suicidality never really disappeared (atleast that's what i believe), the only reason he isn't like,,, actively trying to kill himself is because he freaking cares too much about his friends (something like that,,, idk how to word this)
he's been depressed since maybe his early early childhood, he's still horribly depressed, and his life is only going downhill π i think, talking on my personal experiences, it wouldn't make sense for him to stop being suicidal when faced with death. i got way more suicidal in 2024 after i survived an attempt bro, it doesn't just go away if you're chronically depressed !
i PRAY he doesn't fall into the trope of characters who are like "i don't wanna die!!! i don't wanna disappear!!" when theyre dying, THATS BULLSHIT. LET THIS BOY BE SUICIDAL.
