I know, it’s been a quite some time since I’ve wrote the last post. It’s not only because of Summer season. I’ve been so busy preparing a new project which I’d like to share with all of you.

Do you remember El nan casteller? It’s a really nice wooden toy based on the Catalan tradition of Castells (human towers). Now Apanona (Laia Arriols), Marc Sardà and El Nan Casteller have joined forces on a new project for the youngest: the Nanpuzzle. And I'm crazy about it! 

Nanpuzzle is a giant puzzle ahead and a colorable behind. Apanona has drawn a pretty scene with Barcelona skyline and some Castellers playing (with Nan XL) and taking selfies.

Turn the puzzle over, colour it and learn how to dress Castellers in English.

 And also have fun with a real Nan (included in the box).

Nanpuzzle is consisting of 24 reversible jumbo pieces and is recommended for ages 3 and above. The large pieces are easy to handle for children.

Tradition and modernity, innovation and responsible production can go hand in hand. Well done!

Today I want to show you Aloïs and Vaim's room. Her mother, Aude, is the blogger behind Toupie et ses haricots magiques and a lover of the vintage.

The kids room combines contemporary elements with others found in flea markets, such as the child desk, the highchair or the great collection of Fisher Priece figures.

Some animal masks from Chocolate show, a doll from Le train fantôme or a Superhero mirror from April Eleven bring a fun twist to this shared room.

Ken Heyman recently discovered a nearly forgotten treasure in storage – a box labeled “Mothers” that had a really beautiful series of images that he shot of mothers around the world nearly 50 years ago.

He taken the pictures as part of a book called Family that he co-wrote with anthropologist Margaret Mead back in 1965.

I've seen the first photos of Bobo Choses AW14/15 collection via Zirimola eco shop blog! 

The collection is called A Day in L.A. and you'll find references to Venice Beach, Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood or Echo Park lake in form of stars, peanuts, birds or swans... and a lot of cool clothes!

A great collection inspired by Los Angeles city and the imaginary of the 50’s. With Bobo’s characteristic prints playing the starring role, the collection represents the magic, the boldness and the fun of spending a day in L.A.

A Day in L.A.

In the morning at Echo Park, vain palm trees look at themselves  in the mirroring waters, while swans  praise them for their hairstyles.

At noon on Sunset Boulevard, cartoons take a break from the screens and birds that go for a walk  take off their hats to greet each other.

What I saw is what I say it’s just a day in L.A.

In the evening, at the movie theatre, a giant peanut shushes a couple of fur coats that won’t let him listen to the film’s dialogues because they don´t stop chatting.

At night, over the skies of Venice Beach, stars that weren’t featured in the movies show off their best splendour hoping to pass the casting.

A few time ago, I introduced you TORONTO, a modular and adjustable stool designed specially for kids. I'm very pleased that this innovative and cool children’s stool has been selected by DELTA AWARDS 2014, 37th International edition of the best product design, FADexpo.

TORONTO is a piece of furniture and a toy at the same time, made of cork and foam, both 100% recyclable. With the ability to customize the stackable discs to meet their height, children can strengthen fundamental skills such as movement, coordination and manipulation. 

TORONTO is suitable for indoor playground spaces such as libraries, kindergartens, etc. and also for domestic play areas. 

TORONTO stool is the brainchild of In-Tenta and Daniela Seminara, and it's produced by MADE DESIGN.

When Julias Vita Drömmar and her husband bought a little farm it was in a bad condition, but they have completely renovated it. 

On the farm they have a root cellar dating from the 1600s that they have reconverted into a beautiful playhouse - summer house for their children.

A good coat of white paint (and light green for some pieces), a few trips to antique markets and some elements of IKEA have completely changed the look of the room. 

There are so many details I love! The vintage prints, the doll crib, the textile teapot, the ancient mirror… It’s simply perfection.

This brand designs urban-wear for active kids. They use durable & organic fabrics that are easy to care for!

Maybe you remember the bedside tables Nel and Maria from DAM, really nice furniture with a touch of humor. They came from the desire to tell a story about Portuguese culture, to provoke someone.

Hugo Silva and Joana Santos, the creators, have invented an entire cast of humoristic and functional furniture characters. Nel and Maria are the first ones and they would like to increase their family. 

Chicos, Lena, Anas and Silva are the new products and DAM has launched a pre-sale campaign on Kickstarter that will be available only till 16th July!
