Every day on our way to work, we pass this man. He's always in the same spot, sometimes with friends, sometimes alone. Sometimes with a drink, sometimes with a cigarette. When we get off the subway Astrid immediately gets excited because she knows, that in about 200 meters she's going to see him again! She's starting to run, pulling the leash and when we get to his spot, Astrid squeaks, cries, yells of happiness. He laughs every time, he picks her up and let her kiss his face, his ears, his hands. They both have the best time, and I'm on the side, so proud of my little girl. I know we say people should be more like dogs, and it's so true. Seeing the two of them together every morning make me feel so much love for the people around us. No matter the back ground, we all need love. I know I'm not good at showing it, but Astrid helps me every day. This meeting, every morning is helping me open up my heart, and crushing my own prejudices. Thank you for helping me along the way little girl. You are love, and you are so extremely loved.
