I wanna clarify a few things about how I personally consume The Chronicles of Narnia series.
First of all, I mostly consume it through the movies bc that's just the type of media I prefer. I struggle with reading books so I personally prefer the movies just because they're easier for me to consume. And so I usually apply the movie canon instead of book canon.
This is mostly important when it comes to the ages of the characters bc it's clear the ages in the books are different then in the movies. The main example being that in the Votdt books Edmund it estimated to be around 12. But in the movies a line of dialogue implies he's 16 at least. I'm putting my interpretation of the character's ages below based on that fact.
LWW:
Peter: 17
Susan: 16
Edmund: 14
Lucy: 12
PC:
Peter: 18
Susan: 17
Edmund: 15
Lucy: 13
Caspian: 19
VOTDT:
Peter: 19
Susan: 18
Edmund: 16
Lucy: 14
Caspian: 22
A second thing I want to clarify is that, I am not Christian. I was raised Christian but have a lot of religious trauma and now many things related to Christianity make me uncomfortable. I understand that the series was intended to be a metaphor for Christianity and I respect that. But I personally decide to just take the events at face value instead because of my religious trauma.
I have nothing against Christian fans of the series as long as you are respectful to me and don't try to force the religion on me. But if you're Christian and the fact that I personally disregard the Christianity metaphor of Narnia makes you uncomfortable I understand if you don't want to interact with me, or would like to block me.
But I want to emphasize that if you are homophobic or transphobic, do not interact. I am a gay trans man and if you don't respect that or people like me get off my blog. Especially because I post a lot of content about making the Narnia characters queer.
Basic dni criteria apply. Pr0ship/D@rkship dni. C/asm/und shippers dni. H@rry P0tter fans of any kind dni.
Also want to clarify you can follow me if you're Christian. As long as you're not homo/transphobic and you're respectful of the way I interpret the series(I.e.: in a non religious way).
