Close Call || Pete & Cassie
"I know, I know. I was the sacrifice to save you from icy peril," she said with a laugh, a smile on her face as she thought about her choice of words. She looked down at herself, patting down her overcoat and adjusting her clothing that had been disheveled in her crash with the man.
"Well everything seems to be swell and dandy," she said, putting her hands back into the pockets of her overcoat since it was rather chilly out still. "Nothing has been harmed, I promise. Except perhaps my reputation as a graceful lady," she joked with another laugh, smiling at the man. "My, I hope this isnât a dire sign of your day to come," she said, referring to how he had jumped into her.
A laugh sounded from him at her words. "I don't know about sacrifice, but I suppose it was something of that sort." Pete replied, and then nodded when she stated that she was fine. "I don't think that you should worry about your reputation for being graceful. I'm fairly certain that your reputation is quite safe, so long as people know that I was the one involved with the collusion. I've been told that when I want to be, I can be one of the clumsiest people."
The thought of this event being a possibility of things to come made him feel less than thrilled. "I'm just going to have to hope that this was a one time occurrence because if this is how the rest of my day is going to go, then I'm not very sure that I want to go through the rest of this day."Â
Close Call || Pete & Hilary
Hilary tried her hardest to stifle a laugh, but it came through awkwardly. âI ainât glad fâer the warm. I was jâst gettinâ used to the cold,â she pouted playfully. Truth be told what she wouldnât give for a Georgian winter, was nothing. She would give everything she had to be able to loll in the sun rather than work in the cold.
She smiled at him, smoothing down the front of her coat. âDonât be sorry, accidents happen. Besides, how else would I ever make new friends if nobody ever tried to run me over with snow,â she laughed, extending her hand. âHi, Iâm Hilâry.â
Her accent amused Pete very much. He'd hardly heard anything like it before. He was even more pleased by the fact that the lady didn't seem upset in the least at the fact that he had run into her. It put him at ease to know that she was fine, and still seemingly pleasant at the same time. Pete smiled at her as she introduced herself.
Without wasting another moment, he took her hand in his, moving to almost kiss her knuckles, but catching himself. "Sorry, it's a bit of a habit." He lowered her hand, and spoke, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Hilary, my name's Pete."Â
Close Call || Pete & Cassie
Cassie was walking down the street, feeling at peace with herself. It had been a late night for her, but it had been worth it. She felt amazing and like she could do no wrong. Aidan had given her a job to do for Four Points, one that she felt she could pull off without any troubles. It also helped that it came with the added benefit of possibly angering Daisy more. She pulled her overcoat more tightly around her, shoving her hands into the pockets. Though the weather as clearer than it had been, it was still chilly out.
Hearing a male voice cursing from right near by, she looked up and let out an involuntary yelp of surprise as a hard body crashed into her. Steadying herself before she actually fell, she smiled softly and let out a breath she hadnât realized she had been holding. âOh, no. Itâs alright. Iâm just a bit startled,â she said, peering to where a fresh glob of snow had fallen. âMy, my. You almost were turned into an icicle!â
Pete reached out quickly to grab hold of Cassie and help steady her before she fell over as well. He smiled at her slightly. "I do apologize for barreling right into you. It was either that, or... well, I just don't think it would have gone over very well with my work attire."
He managed a laugh over her exclamation, "An icicle, or something of the sort. Either way, I have no intentions of trying to be frozen before a long shift of work. Are you alright, though? I'm afraid I ran into you pretty hard."

Close Call || Pete & Gordon
Gordon had worked the late shift last night and was finally heading home after nearly being forced out by his father quietly implying that he would call his mother. It wasnât like he was a grown man or anything; but it didnât matter how old he was, the threat of a personâs mother ought to put the fear of God in you.Â
Stifling a yawn, Gordon didnât see the thick black curls till they were practically shoved up his nose.Â
"Ugh, what is this, ya wanna dance Petey? Iâm sorry to say I left my good shoes at home." He chuckled tiredly, steadying the other man and glancing at the snow that had fallen. "Afraid to get your perm wet?" He taunted with a good natured grin as he smacked the other manâs arm.Â
"Ya heading in right now?"
The laugh that escaped Pete was inevitable. Gordon's joking had pushed aside any of the negative feelings that he'd had about the snow that had almost landed on him. "You should know by now that you ought to be prepared for a good dance at all moments in time."Â
He smiled, and touched his hair slightly before playing along, "I paid a good deal of money to make sure these curls came out perfectly, I can't go around messing all of that up."Â
With a nod, "Didn't I just get off work? I feel like I just got off work."
Close Call || Pete & Eliza
The weather change didnât seem to bring the same joy that the changing seasons once had to the little Capone, as she walked, tugging at her scarf. The fast melting snow just happened to be another reminder of how much time seemed to be passing, time that was offering her no avail toward easing her mind. And as Luis sulked a few paces behind her, the girl seemed to be paying little attention to her surroundingsâthat was until she felt the force of another body smacking into her.
Her body going rigid, the blonde let out a yelp that caused her guard to jump to attention, her heart suddenly racing. It was an over-reaction of course, but the panic that set in as Pete grabbed hold of her was unavoidable. Quickly, pulling away from the man and taking a fast step backward, it took her a minute to regain her bearings and recognize the man. âOhâŚPete,â she spoke softly, looking from the man to the fallen clump of snow. âWell, it seems you moved in the knick of time.â
It was impossible for Pete not to notice the reaction that Eliza had when he grabbed her, more for the sake of ensuring that she didn't go toppling over from the sudden collusion. He tried not to let that bother him, knowing that what she'd gone through had most likely left a mark on her that would leave her altered for the rest of her life.
Trying to keep the conversation lighter, he turned to look at the pile of snow that had fallen before returning his eyes to her. It was inevitable. Pete would always think that she was beautiful. "It appears that I did." He flashed a smile at her.
"I can say that I am truly glad to run into someone. Although, the sentiment might not be the same on your end." Pete's fingers itched to reach out and touch her even just a little. "You're alright... right? I didn't hurt you, did I?"
Close Call || Pete & Hilary
The warmer the days got, the brighter Hilaryâs smile. She was so ready for spring, a time to hang up her heavy velvet dresses and slip back into the silky, beaded ones reserved for warmer weather. With the snow still on the ground, it was evident that she would be dressed in her winter wools that day. So off to work she went, an extra spring in her step now that the majority of the ice was gone from the walkways.Â
Her stride was interrupted by somebody moving her. âHey what in Sam heck dâ yâ think yâer doinâ mister!â She exclaimed before noticing the pile of snow next to them. âOh, did that just, yâ know?â She asked, pointing upwards to the roof of a building.
A slow smile appeared on his face, Pete's eyes full of amusement over her words. He followed the direction that her finger pointed, and he laughed, "Yes, it did just y'know." He replied. "I'm glad for the warmer weather, but I'm not glad for almost getting coated in ice and snow."Â
Stepping back after he realized that the lady was okay. "I'm really sorry about that, again. I just didn't have time to warn anyone as I didn't have much of a warning, myself."
Close Call || Pete & OPEN
Pete had just finished getting ready for work, and he'd set aside the paper, looking out of the window, and noticing that the day appeared as nice as people had been predicting. All of the previous snow would be melting throughout the day. Finishing his drink, he set the cup in the sink, and then headed out of the door. The temperature outside was warmer than it had been, and as he looked up toward the sky, he had just enough time to notice a huge chunk of snow falling from the roof of his home.
Without any other option, Pete jumped out of the way with a curse, and as he did, he slammed into another person. Quickly grabbing hold of the other person, his eyes went from the spot the snow pile had landed, and the person he had run into. "I'm really sorry about that. Almost didn't see that snow coming."

PETE RIZZOLI; 28 Ă DETECTIVE ĂÂ POLICE/ITALIANÂ ĂÂ TAKEN
âI know that my fate lies in the hands of the devil, but itâs a fate with good intentions.â
Pete never thought that his life would be as complicated as it is today. However, it seems more apparent than ever to this double agent, that life is never easy, and you have to take the hand that fate has given, even if it doesnât have a happy ending. Rizzoli leads a double life. He works as a detective for the Montford PD, but moonlights as a henchman. One that sometimes blurs the lines of right and wrong.
Rizzoli supplies Francesca and Gene with information on what the police do and donât know about their dealings. He seems to always be one step ahead of Clarence and the force which is the reason he has yet to be caught, even after the war that almost tore this town apart. Rizzoli is good at heart, but the mafia life is seductive. He knows that his talents should be used to crack the cases that the other men canât quite seem to, but a certain member of the mafia family seems to have clouded his judgement. He knows that pining for Eliza Capone is a waste of time, but it hasnât kept him from looking her way.
Âť PERSONALITY
Rizzoli is an attentive fellow that is faithful to his own code. It is a code that hardly anyone understands, even the man himself, but he feels as if he knows his place in the world. Heâs versatile enough to fade from mafioso to detective in a heartbeat, but that doesnât stop him from being blunt and guarded with his cohorts. Heâs a bias man, one that knows what he wants and will argue until you see it his way. Itâs the reason he is so good at being a double agent; and although his tactics and morals may not be what one would perceive as good, it would be troublesome to tell him otherwise.
