in my interpretation, achilles is not a child of love, and he finds it to be one of his greatest flaws. thetis was taken forcefully and she considered carrying achilles a great burden. she tries to steal achilles away from mortals in fear they will do the same to him as they did to her

she tried to make herself as grotesque in appearance as possible but it did not work. the gods had told peleus she’d try and do that, and to push past either way. it happened at nighttime as the night is a time of shadows, deception and darkness

here’s my design of queen hera!

i tried to incorporate peacocks and cows into the design, particularly the feathers in her crown and the chryselephantine horns (meaning made of ivory and gold, and very expensive). the precious stones i put on her golden jewellery are lapis lazuli, sapphire, ruby, pearl and peridot :)
