example; you’re scrolling on insta, you see a GRWM of a woman, man & their kids, it’s several clips of their morning routine, a normal reel, a common concept that many parents, siblings, friends do on social media. harmless, right?

no. it’s not harmless.

those cute shoes you got your kid that you posted on your insta feed? just the shoe? a pedophile could easily find arousal in that. those instore mannequins that show off new clothes? yep. magazines for kids, for teens, for new parents? mhm.

the online safety act won’t stop pedophiles. it’s not gonna stop children from suffering sexual abuse. it’s not gonna change the many kids and teenagers who are already suffering and have been left to rot due to how underfunded and poor our protection services are.

there’s a massive lack of understanding and it’s downright shameful and the goverment have just left a wide door open by making it EASIER for others to get access to content due to the fact it’s the only content adults are allowed to see unless they comply with handing over their privacy and information.

This isn’t about protecting children from harm online.

This is about enforcing every single adult in the UK to comply with digital ID and age verification. The government are demanding tech companies to comply with installing/using device controls that would invoke the death of anonymity and privacy online for every single individual in this country.
