SO i actually didn't remember that Ryuji asked for Jokers backstory, i completely forgot about him saying this:

So im gonna say when this scene happens Rei doesn't mean to go over the story in detail about the harassment cause they kinda just met, but Rei just goes over the incident in enough detail that it isn't obvious enough to Ryuji that the man put his hands on Rei before Rei shoved him.

Ryuji's biggest take away from this is when Rei tells him they use they/them pronouns and Ryuji apologies for misgendering Rei this whole time. Rei is glad that Ryuji isn't weird about it.

When Ryuji takes Joker out for noodles Rei nearly kisses him right then and there sitting beside him but ends up just staring at him and Ryuji asks if everything is ok because they look like they spaced out.

Ryuji gets a big dumb crush on Rei sooner, like, his heart felt something when he saw Joker stand up for him in Kamoshida's castle but after his persona awakens that's when he actually had a crush on his friend but he puts it in his back pocket/dismisses the feelings. then we hang out with him on confidant level 6 when he says he needs time to find a place for them to work out he's thinking hard about his feelings trying not to ruin the friendship.

5/5 comes up, the day we celebrate at the restaurant and the encounter with the guy who got Joker arrested. I don't know if i made this clear but in my Joker story this man tried to get handsy with them and that's why Rei shoved him, my Joker heavily sympathizes Shiho and Ann when the whole Kamoshida castle thing is going on bc they know what it's like to be harassed (not to that extent but afraid for their life)

Rei and Makoto are getting closer and i think the point was when they hang out either Makoto tells Rei she knows Rei likes Ryuji and shes not trying to take him from them or she came out to Rei as wanting to be transmasc?

something something, Rei putting their hand on Reiju's hip here as a romantic gesture, just to hold him, they aren't in a dating phase more like "we don't talk about our relationship but it's basically silently dating"

Rei later asking him if he wants him to give him something to look forawrd to, implying they will have their first kiss soon.

Rei no longer being jealous of Ryuji and Makoto, Rei finds their relationship funny and silly knowing Makoto's stance on Ryuji that Makoto isn't interested in him.

i remember the table being tense here and thinking Yoshizawa knows Rei doesn't really like Akechi so shes trying to stop an argument from breaking out

This makes Rei laugh and Ryuji realizing Rei is laughing at him cause he's viewing it as a gay joke he gets flustered cause he wasn't thinking about what he was saying but Rei's laugh is so pretty to him he manages to stay mad but hes not as upset as hes making it out to be

Yusuke making a joke about them being stupid but also them eloping, he is very supprotive of them and is up to date on their relationship

i think at some point i had plan for Rei to get mad about this, flirting in front of them and kiss Ryuji out of rage later on.
