[ID: two versions of a 9 striped flag. the colors (from top to bottom) are dark indigo, grey, yellow, reddish-pink, purple, blue, green, grey, and dark indigo. the flag on the right has a compass rose, or a four-pointed, white star in the center. /end ID.]
loveless flag!
made for anyone who doesn't experience, relate, or identify with the term love.
the flag (and definition) are based on the loveless aro flag, inclusive aspec flag, and loveless wiki. it's open for anyone on the a-spectrum, but honestly im not going to stop you. if the flag and term suits you, go ahead. be queer :]
Platoweird
A term for when one experiences platonic attraction, but in a non normative way. May or may not be considered aplspec.
Romoweird
A term for when one experiences romantic attraction, but in a non normative way. May or may not be considered arospec.
Erosweird
A term for when one experiences sexual attraction, but in a non normative way. May or may not be considered acespec.
---
The yellow/green/purple are taken from the apl/aro/ace flags respectively, and are more pastel to resemble the unlabeled flag, as these terms are purposely vague.
The off white represents how the individual who identifies with this terms attraction is considered "off".
The pink represents attraction, because I've seen pink be used to represent sexual, romantic, and platonic attraction.
SandBodiment
A gender in the gender bodiment system, related, connected or describes as being the embodiment of sand.
[ID: a flag made up of 6 swirly shapes, which have four spikes that point clockwise. Going from outside to inside the colors are a bright orange-y yellow, a more grey-ish orange-y yellow, a light grey-ish brown, a darker grey-ish brown, a light brown and a medium dark brown. In the middle is a stick figure, the same orange-y yellow as the first color. ID end]
(Yayy I finally coined smth again)
Usually I don't do this, but I found that "new and improved aro flag" problematic because it's appropriating the colours of the Jamaican flag. Minus the grey, those colours have a lot of symbolism to us and our culture (I think it's the only flag of its kind with those colours, so anywhere you go you know it's Jamaica). And it's just really bothering me tbh. Sorry.
damnwell that’s definitely a problem; thanks for letting me know
i have a few alternative ideas… but i don’t know if they really fix the issue - removing one colour or the other. the best solution i can think of is switching out the yellow for white… (although it does make the colour scheme kinda similar to the neutrois flag)
i think keeping the 5 stripe format is the best idea, just gotta figure out the colours

over the past few months i’ve been reviewing my design of the aro flag, and stuff that’s occurring in the community and i guess kind of regretting (or re-evaluating) some of the design choices i made? not with the colours, mostly just the meanings of the stripes (which were never really set in stone anyway - they kept changing in my mind when people commented their thoughts)
the biggest thing is that because of all the new words and orientations aro-spectrum people are exploring, stripes designated for certain orientations don’t really work in the long run - after all the two top stripes already symbolise the entire community as a spectrum
basically the way i’ve been seeing the flag over the past couple of months has been in three sections - with the top pair of colours and the bottom pair of colours being two spectrums
green-light green - the aro-spectrum (and aromanticism itself represented by green because green belongs to us now hell yeah)
yellow - basically the ‘platonic’ stripe - friendship/platonic and aesthetic attraction/queerplatonic relationships/family, the importance and validity of all non-romantic relationships and feelings and non-romantic forms of love etc. etc. etc. etc.
black-grey - the sexuality spectrum - acknowledging aro-aces, aromantic allosexuals, and everything in between because we are a diverse lot so i think this is better but who knows EVERYBODY MIGHT DISAGREE WITH ME
[the original post]
EDIT: aaaaand here’s my redesign with the white stripe
i’ve been reading up on a lot of the discussion about the aro flag and the problems people have with it (that it’s not inclusive, mostly), other options people have put forward and their reasonings, and what they think it needs etc.
and judging by the dates on the discussion boards… apparently we’ve been trying to figure this shit out for 2 years already so i figured, why not work on making a flag option myself - one that includes grey, demi, lith and wtfromantics as well as the spectrum
also one that’s a lot easier on the eyes than the one at aromantic.org
so here’s the results of several hours reading forum discussions and messing with colours and blabla, colour symbolism explained in the second picture
credit to like half the aro community for the green and yellow colour scheme that it seems to have adopted *teary thank yous everywhere*
lemme know what you think
EDIT: the stripe meanings and symbolism have been developed; please refer to this post
EDIT AGAIN: for reasons of colour sensitivity, cultural appropriation etc. the more accepted flag is now my redesign with the white stripe
whoops yeah i just realised i never actually made a proper post for this version of the flag with meanings and stuff SORRY watch in awe as i copy and paste most of the explanations from the old post and say pretty much exactly the same thing i did before
the flag is basically divided into three sections - with the top pair of colours and the bottom pair of colours being two spectrums
green-light green - the aro-spectrum (and aromanticism itself represented by green because green belongs to us now hell yeah). this covers every identity under the aro umbrella - demi, grey, lith/akoi, wtf/quoiro, cupio etc. EVERYTHING. even ones that don’t have names yet.
white - basically the ‘platonic’ stripe - friendship/platonic and aesthetic attraction/queerplatonic relationships/family, the importance and validity of all non-romantic relationships and feelings and non-romantic forms of love etc. etc. etc. etc.
black-grey - the sexuality spectrum - acknowledging aro-aces, aromantic allosexuals, and everything in between because we are a diverse lot [previous posts (warning huge icky yellow stripe in the first two): x x x]
Sunsetgender: A gender that is colorful and warm, like sitting in a sunbeam. This gender feels young, carefree, and full of love (may that love be platonic or romantic is up to the user)
Low-key I feel like Luka Merguine would use this gender, that's my newest headcanon for her 👀
Praying Tumblr doesn't break this time. Gets back up on my soapbox and clears my throat again.
Recologender
Recologender is an umbrella term that refers to an individual who was raised/socialised as a certain gender, and while they still identify with the gender, they do not express it in the way they were raised to, as it was often used to oppress, silence, or force them to conform to a societal standard.
This term is not under the transgender umbrella, but can be used alongside any transgender identity. This identity, while similar, is also distinct from Gender Non-Conforming, as the is emphasis placed on the reclaiming of one's gender identity, not on the subversion of standards/expectations/stereotypes

Swanboy !!
someone who identifies with a male or male-aligned gender that presents in a more feminine way as deemed by societal standards. Coined by me, @jinxneo, on June 10, 2026, the term was created as a more positive replacement for the term “femboy”, a word with a history of being used negatively against trans individuals. Swans are one of the species where homosexuality is prevalent, with around 20% of couples being male loving male or mlm. Swans also are symbols of self-love, transformation, and inner beauty, which is what makes them the perfect symbols for gender non-conforming individuals. The swanboy flags shown above were created by tumblr user @soulful-hallucination June 10, 2026.

Boiqirl Flag
Boiqirl or qirlboi: An identity which is similar to boygirl/boygurl but involves a deliberate separation from the white/Western gender binary; identifying as boi and qirl, fluidly or statically.
Specific for POC only, specially BPOC.
Proposal For a New Lesbian Flag
with the help of my friends, I made a new lesbian flag that has a meaning since the widespread lesbian flag we use has no meaning and was just posted as the lipstick/femme lesbian flag on a blog back in 2010. I know a lot of lesbians including myself who would rather have a flag with a meaning, so my friends & I are hoping this is gonna catch on eventually!
from top to bottom, the meanings of the colors are: loyalty/trust, freedom to love women, trans/nb lesbians, serenity, and pride/love for oneself.
after a lot of input from people on this post, I’ve realized some things that need fixing about the colors of this flag. with the help of my friends again, we’ve made modifications to the flag. the two top colors have changed to fit better together, and the flag as a whole is more saturated. thank you all for your criticisms on the flag because that helped a lot with fixing it! this is the finalized version:
since a couple of people were asking as well, it is okay to use this flag as icons/headers/etc and is okay to use without credit but I would appreciate it since the flag is fairly new. I also 100% don’t mind people who aren’t lesbians reblogging this, as long as you’re being respectful and are spreading this for your lesbian followers I appreciate it!
special thanks to @cerebrite & @maidofluck for helping me with the original flag, and @lesbistani & a friend who does not wanna be mentioned for helping with the finalized version!
Toric and Trixic
There’s been some demand for m-spec inclusive terms for nonbinary people who like men and nonbinary people who like women, so in a discord server we came up with the words toric and trixic.
Toric: used to describe a nonbinary person who is attracted to, interested in, or in a relationship with men/boys, exclusively or not. Toric can also be used to describe relationships between nonbinary people and men/boys.
Trixic: used to describe a nonbinary person who is attracted to, interested in, or in a relationship with women/girls, exclusively or not. Trixic can also be used to describe relationships between nonbinary people and women/girls.
Examples:
A feminamoric demiboy is also trixic.
A demigirl in a relationship with a boy is toric.
An aroace enby in a qpp with a girl is trixic, and in a trixic relationship.
A toric bigender person in a sapphic relationship is still toric.
QUICK ADD:
Tiric is a nonbinary person who is attracted to men and women (exclusively or inclusively).
Some people see it as the “nonbinary bisexual”. So if you’re nonbinary and you don’t fit with the bisexual label, you might connect with Tiric more. This term is only for nonbinary people to use and this sexuality was NOT created by me. I found this out from the LGBTQ+ Wiki.

My coined terms masterpost (This account is no longer a coining account!)
Hello, this is a full masterpost of my terms that I have coined, I am doing this largely as I have deleted my orignal coining posts of these terms and I want this to be the only documented version, please see this post for wiki entries/flags boundaries: https://www.tumblr.com/arlosworld91/766346262812508160/and-to-also-add-i-do-not-consent-to-alternate?source=share

Contrian
Contrian (Alternate name: Contrarian) is a term where one's attraction/orientation is/can be either/both solid, fluid, and/or fluctuating. This can be any attraction type (aesthetic, platonic, romantic, etc) and to all/most genders. Due to this, it can be hard to pin down or figure out one's attraction. The individual may be unable to tell if their attraction is solid or fluid/fluctuating. In addition, the attraction can be high or low and the user may have preferences. This may be due to the attractions going in different directions or there isn’t a sense of unity or similarity.
The user may or may not have attraction or a preference to the individual's gender but still have attraction to the way the individual presents. In addition, the user may or may not have attraction to the individual but having a connection to them may cause desire for some form of relationship.
One's gender may impact their attraction/orientation if they have a fluid/fluctuating gender, are multigendered, or have no gender for instance, they then are more likely to experience more fluidity/fluctuations in their orientation. Or with them being multigender, with each gender they may experience different attractions and their preferences and feelings changing depending on each gender experience. For instance, gender 1 = Aromantic/Demisexuality/Bisexualty, gender 2= Grayromantic, polysexual, Bellussexual.
Examples may include, but aren't limited to:
The user is attracted to men, they are uncertain if the attraction is solid (static/unchanging) or fluid/fluctuating. For instance, the individual one day may experience an attraction level of 60% towards men but another day the attraction level is down to 40%.
The user's attraction to their own gender may be solid, but has fluid attraction for the whole xenogender spectrum.
The user has preferences for a handful of genders, or only experience it in little blobs to most genders other than their gender “opposite” in which they may experience more attraction.
One experiences indifference towards their attraction, maybe due to certain attraction types themselves having fluctuations, or knows that they exist on the edge of these attractions. Their attraction/orientation may change depending on whether they experience queerplatonic attraction, romantic attraction, etc.
Agenbian
Flag 1
Flag 2
Agenbian refers to an agender individual who's attraction to women is gay. However, individuals with gender (example agender boy) can use this term as well. One's gender may influence being gay towards women.
The individual may or may not feel the same way to all genders and may only specifically be gay towards women.
This term is used for those who feel 'straight' doesn't fit or simply don't want to use the label. This includes other labels as well. It is also used for those who feel excluded by wlw terms (due to exclusionists).
The name and flags combine the terms Agender and Lesbian, it can be almost considered another version of Agender Lesbian.
Demifraypronominal
Demifraypronominal refers to someone who is sometimes, for what ever reason fraypronominal. This may be due to:
Losing the appeal of the pronoun set regardless of usage, i.e. Losing the appeal because it wasn’t used enough, or was used way too much.
It could attributed to feeling uncomfortable with the pronoun set.
They feel bored with the pronoun set, they feel as if it is just not for them.
Circumstances may change where they feel as if the pronoun set doesn’t suit them anymore, this may be due to personal circumstance, this may be due to their ever changing identity.
However, the majority of the time, they are not Fraypronominal. This could be considered as them being Fraypronominal in very specific circumstances.
This may also be link with them potentially being Pronounfluid or being Pronounflux but in a Fraypronominal way, as in they experience Pronounfluidty on a regular basis with any of the reason that have been put before, or any others that haven’t been mentioned.
It is important to note that it is not outright Pronounfluid or Pronounflux as those rely on fluidity or fluctuations without any impacts, whilst Demifraypronominal relies on reasoning though being pronounflux could be the reason as they feel less of connection with the pronoun set.
Merodomestic
Merodomestic is a term for being okay with some domestic acts, but being repulsed/averse to others. This may or may not be an adomestic identity depending on whether or not one also feels domestic attraction.
Flag by @anonymisc-acts
Demifraynominal
This refers to someone who is sometimes, for what ever reason Fraynominal. This may be due to:
Losing the appeal of the name regardless of usage, i.e. Losing the appeal because it wasn’t used enough, or was used way too much.
It could attributed to feeling uncomfortable with the name.
They feel bored with the name, they feel as if it is just not for them.
Circumstances may change where they feel as if the name doesn’t suit them anymore, this may be due to personal circumstance, this mat be due to their ever changing identity.
However, the majority of the time, they are not Fraynominal. This could be considered as them being Fraynominal in very specific circumstances.
This may also be link with them potentially being Nomifluid or being Nomiflux but in a Fraynominal way, as in they experience Nomifluidity on a regular basis with any of the reason that have been put before, or any others that haven’t been mentioned.
It is important to note that it is not outright Nomifluid or Nomiflux as those rely on fluidity or fluctuations without any impacts.
Losaesthetic
Losaesthetic is an aesthetic spectrum term, which describes different states of fray attraction, it is a subset of Frayaesthetic. It describes when one may lose or gain attraction in really specific scenarios when other terms don’t work, it is typically felt towards those they don’t know and the possibility of gaining any knowledge or any bond with that individual whether platonic, romantic, etc.
Someone that is Losaesthetic:
- may potentially lose the attraction if any knowledge of the individual in question is known, or if any sort of bond is gained.
- They may experience the inverse of this where they may only experience attraction if there is a bond, but after a while it fades away but then comes back when the bond is greater.
- They have no knowledge of the individual but the aesthetic attraction just fades away without any explanation.
- The individual may only experience the attraction if they know nothing about the individual and may feel that their feelings towards the individual is redundant if they have any knowledge or bond with that individual.
Someone who is this term experiences all or most of these examples, the term relies on really specific circumstances where Valis, Fray and Demi don’t work for them.
This term is used regardless of whether one is allo or anaesthetical
Thank you for reading this masterpost
(Also tagging two members of the wiki so they are aware of this: @virgildoesthings , @jebcc )
