Why is she my favorite? umm... scratches head. I'm not sure actually! Sure there are other characters you could probably argue more about being my favorites and i'd probably have a reason or two for them, but no one beats out Jesse! She's just always there. lurking in my brain. i think i really like her relationships with the characters she exists around and how shes really complex in her feelings and personality and such and so forth. my 5 billion textwalls of nuance queen

Oc-tober day 2; Old OC

I don't think i could've gotten away with drawing literally anyone else- Endie was my first ever oc! He'll be 13 pretty soon- which is crazy!! He kickstarted all of what made me want to make characters at all... and look at me now, Monstra n all!

Working on turning Liraz into a full on oc grins

Liraz Ofek is a mutant obsessed with fire in a frozen apocalyptic world. His parents started the Crucible: a fire obsessed cult who believe that through burning everything to the ground new life can form.

His parents initiated him fully into the cult by burning half of his face which he hides under his bang. After deciding that they weren’t doing enough, he kills them and takes over as the leader of the Crucible.

Name meanings come from the Hebrew name Liraz meaning my secret and Ofek meaning horizon grins

They're characters from the Metroid manga (shown here beside my versions of them)

Kreatz is the little smug one and Mauk is the one who isn't Kreatz. They're part of the broader Galactic Federation - the games don't focus on the non-human factions these days (maybe Prime 4 does but I haven't played it yet). I like the two of them as a connection to the GF for Samus that doesn't directly involve interacting with humans, like a sort of protective 'barrier' for her. Of course there is also Malkovich and Higgs etc but there's more emotional baggage with that side of things.
