And he would bring it up in alarmingly casual ways

Usually to disparage the people that threaten to hog your attention, calling them dull or unremarkable in all sorts of colourful ways

Only...you never told him who you were hanging out with...and how would he know where you went last Saturday?

His jealousy extends not just to real people who claim your attention, but fictional characters as well

Especially if there's an intelligent character in whichever media you're consuming

Sherlock would childishly try to best the character and deconstruct why he is superior to them

It's his way of trying to show that he's the better choice, but he's too inept to realise he just comes off annoying

And honestly, catching his interest in general would ironically be more irritating than being rivals or enemies

At least when you're on bad terms, he makes an effort to avoid you

Once you attract his attention, he finds 'coincidences' to create moments where you're alone

He drivels about his knowledge and tries to show off his observational talents nonstop

All the while not realising that boasting in front of your crush is the worst way to get them to like you back

Sherlock's whole attempt at pursuing you only eggs you further into hating him, and he eventually realises, after poignant observation by John, that you hate him

So he decides to try to clear the air and candidly state that he is interested in you

Understandably, you want nothing to do with him at this point

But his fascination with you has reached a boiling point

He is far too interested in you to leave you be, and far too impatient to win you over in any normal way

You are going to stay with him, build a relationship with him

If you attempt to fight against this in any way, he has ways to make unfortunate things happen to your friends and family

And just to really sell the point, he wouldn't hesitate to let slip where your parents live, or outline the tragic accident your each friend of yours would face

You might hate him for it, but to Sherlock, it is all worth it in the end

After all, if there's anything humans are good at, it's adapting to their circumstances

The family isn’t really familiar with the idea of keeping one of their livestock. In a way you’re like a pet. A living breathing human that didn’t start as a part of the family, but allowed to live all the same, and the dynamic between them all is evident from the start. Their dynamic is fraught, not the healthiest, and yet thicker the blood. 

Like maybe when James was a lieutenant and rescued Will and her from that shipwreck he felt something but since she's such a lower station than him he buried those feelings deep for years. Repressing them. Until the events of the first movie (she was probably with Will the entire time trying to keep her little brother from getting killed; I like the idea of her having taken on a care giver role to Will after their mother died) and after he steps aside so Elizabeth and Will can be together, she approaches him. Thanking him and offering some comfort and that just causes all those years of repressed feelings to be unleashed. (So he doesn't go off chasing after Jack and loosing his commission) Like if Elizabeth and Will can be together despite their different stations and the governor (someone James respects) approves of it, why can't he have her?

Like they call on him and then hug him and give him lots of kisses or like everytime they're around him, they cling to him like the way a koala would do a tree

One thing you've learned about being isolated in the bowels of the opera house was that your squeamish nature towards the man who professed his love and brought you here reduces each day

Fear is a powerful motivator

Boredom and stagnation is an even stronger one

With the garish grimace of his mask, he seemed at first like some summoner of death

Yet now, with familiarity, and the abundance with he emphasised such, you know that he means you no harm

His looming and terrifying facade gave way to the normalcy of a man

And the creeping loneliness, escalated by the near permanence of the constant dark made even unwilling company preferable to none

You find yourself engaging in his company, despite your initial hesitance

You ask him about where he comes from, his past

Despite his vague, dissatisfying answers regarding himself, the company of "Erik" was still company nonetheless

In the constant, damp nighttime of the underworld, his eccentric company kept some routine with the living world

And what he sometimes did not convey with words he expressed with his music

It was his language that spoke to you and soothed you despite being sequestered to an island of a house in a lake beneath the opera house

Despite your rationality and displeasure of your current situation, the human brain craves companionship, and your base instincts were no wiser as to the reality of your situation

His glances at you become no longer so unwelcome, and at his playing you end up providing him your full attention

You do not flinch away when he dares to grasp your hand

One night when he talks of matrimony and the amorous bliss you will share, you begin to sob

And you hate how some part of the less reasonable brain is soothed by his reverence, at how he kneels before you and kisses your knees and hands

When he professes his love for you, some part of you believes that you too may come to love him some day

Interestingly, I think the villains of JJK could fit unnervingly well as killers in the entity’s collection for Dead by Daylight. Whether they’d like it or not, that is a separate question. 

Kenjaku would find the place…limiting…and well, there’s no doubt every moment in there would be spent figuring out how to leave, what the rules of this universe, the bounds of the entity, and how sorcery would work, or not, in this realm. This tiny dollhouse Is insufficient for the breadth of his ambition after all.

Mahito I could see both hating and enjoying his time in the entity’s realm. He’s curious as a child that a touch is no longer sufficient to mangle a human—survivor—into a withered remnant of their former selves. He can’t feel their souls calling to him from beneath their fleshy rubber. It’s frustrating at first, no doubt. The entity presents such pathetic snivelling humans to him, and he can no longer sense their putrid souls, can no longer warp their hatred and ugliness. 

That’s too bad…he was making some real progress in understanding the essence of souls.

But there’s something interesting about being able to create suffering in this way, isn’t there?

He may no longer be able to alter souls, and well—I’m not really sure how much of his abilities would really be retained in this realm—but he can still hurt people. He can still see their suffering as he hooks them and slaughters their friends and companions in front of them. There is so much hatred to be incited and held in this realm. Maybe, with time, he learns to even find a unique sense amusement from this arrangement. 

Maybe you were summoned by the fog too.

Mahito had killed so many of your fellow sorcerers. You had seen too many die at his hand, and the word “dying” is far too merciful. 

They’re twisted into shrivelled heads, pale imitations of their former selves. You saw them distort into monsters, all the while suffering and begging to be put out of their misery. 

You hate him.

He knows you hate him. And you hate how much he enjoys it. 

You had clashed with him frequently before, training hard to kill him and make him feel every bit suffering he had caused countless innocents. 

But then you blink and find yourself in this pocket world…some type of unique domain you hadn’t encountered before?

The rules here are different, nothing like the real world. You learn quickly from the pain and the weathered attitude of the other victims trapped here. 

But you certainly don’t expect to see him here. 

You’re repairing a generator, still trying to come to terms with your situation when you hear the killer’s heartbeat steadily approaching. 

And then you see that terrible blue-grey hair, that terrible patchwork on his skin, and…

That ugly grin that forms and elated shriek of laughter that rattles from his throat after a moment of surprise.

It’s quite a terrible predicament. Here, he has all the power.

You have none.

Your cursed technique, which allowed you to stand toe-to-toe with the monster, is gone. In its place, you have a dying flashlight, wooden pallets, and windows. The horror you feel must be abundantly transparent with how much his grin stretches and his eyes widen.

From how frequently you two clashed before coming to this nightmare world, he had developed some fondness for you. Your fights gave him so much inspiration. Now with the tides turned and the balance unequal, the terror, hatred, and despair that shine through your face feel utterly gratifying. 

With Mahito no longer fixated on warping your soul, and without the permanence of death, there are things about you that he observed he’s never cared to notice before. 

Like the texture of your skin…the delightful sound of your screams as you are mangled by his hands, how adorably the tears from in your eyes, that cutting look of hatred in knowing you can’t do anything to fight back.

He develops a special fixation on you as he knew you from outside the entity’s realm. Maybe he even has some degree of respect for you (to the degree it’s really possible for him). While you are helpless here, you were a capable sorcerer in the real world. It’s adorable that you can’t do anything to him here, and so cure how virulently you glare at him.

Since you’re here, you cant avoid him, can’t run from him since he’ll eventually end up in a trial with you eventually. 

Even if everyone else ends up escaping, he’ll chase you down the whole time, until you’re on the verge of death to savour your every emotion, expression, and wound. 

He hopes you know that you’re his favourite human to torment, even if you’re no longer a sorcerer. 

How terrible for you. 

Erik with Reciprocal Love

Although your affection is what he craves, he is baffled when what he so craves falls into his lap

Erik is a man so starved for affection, yet whose cruelty should warrant him none

Yet you do not run when he declares his affection

Rather, you do something wholly unexpected

Rising to your feet, you press a chaste kiss to his cheek

The utter euphoria this illicits is incomparable to any other living feeling

Surely if any colour could bloom on his dead skin, he would burning red

Now, you have conditioned him to yearn and expect this affection and attention from you

When he believes you not to be gazing at him, he tugs at your attention, sneaking glances to ensure you're focused on him

He plays to his talents by reciting your favourite compositions with all the passion of a virtuoso unveiling his masterpiece to the world

His earnesty is almost cute, you find

But after experiencing the highs of first love it becomes his mission to covet every scrap of your affection

Thus, the resounding silence that echos from the ashes of his impassioned playing is filled with yearning for your praise

And how sweet it is to see such a vulnerable and open side to a man so feared for his lethality

Though he dares not openly ask for your warmth, he dreams of your embrace

Each time you grace him with it, he swears he must have reached the heaven that enlightened men spend lifetimes seeking

His yearning for affection is obvious in his hovering, his longing glances

He is a man who cries in your lap and leaves the corpses of your coworkers hanging by their necks

I'll go with MGS V since I have more ideas with that one for now

In this situation, you are one of the major actors working alongside Venom, Kaz, and of course, Ocelot

If you have direct contact with him, you have an amicable working relationship

The real conflict comes once the hypnotherapy breaks, Venom's true identity is unveiled and the rift between the major actors starts to deepen

Perhaps, like Kaz you feel betrayed by Big Boss for leaving you out to dry with a fake

And even if you decide to cooperate, for the moment, it will inevitably end in crossing paths as enemies eventually.

But Ocelot finds it such a shame you can't see the bigger picture the way he does

Maybe his attachment develops because you have an indispensable set of skills and talents that make you rather difficult to simply dismiss or replace

Talent and experience like yours takes time and experience to cultivate

Capabilities which would be valuable in paving the kind of nation Big Boss wants to rebuild

After all, isn't that what you were already trying to do originally with Mother Base?

But you can create something grander this time--a realisation of Naked Snake's vision that will exceed the limitations of Mother Base

Ocelot hopes that with time, this restlessness and stirring he feels in regards to you will ebb

Yet time is not a salve that can cure all itches

The pair of you can work well on a team, as evidenced by your history

It is a partnership, he is loathe to find come to an end

In a way, like his loyalty to the Big Boss

And if you're not cooperative, well, he is not opposed to the option of persuasion in a way that will get through to you

He will inevitably try to justify the effort he puts into interrogation, torture to break your resistance

The truth is that this is not a decision made on cold logic, but warm, beating emotions

Even if you point it out to his face, he wouldn't admit this particular attachment

But now, as loathe he is to acknowledge it, he cannot envision the makings of Outer Heaven without you there also

Call it a weakness, but it won't matter once he's cornered and manipulated you into staying by his side, no matter how betrayed you feel and regardless of whether you want anything to do with Big Boss's grand plans

At this point of the overall story, he is no longer the young recruit still filling in to his potential

When you come to the opera house, it is with all the hope, naivety, and dreams of youth

Yet, your expectations are quickly tempered by reality

The spotlight is far out of reach, and with the weak warble your voice produces, it is clear that you will not become an overnight miracle

No, unlike your childhood dreams of shimmering under the limelights, your reality is rat-infested corridors, group rehearsals, and intense competition

Although this takes more after the miniseries, the idea of starting as cleaning staff for the grand halls is promising as well

You had always dreamt that you were on-stage, not sweeping it

But you are here nonetheless, and sometimes, on lonely occasions, you can pretend the bright lights shine for you

Yet your rehearsals and imitation of the stars who occupied this place earlier does not go unnoticed

The first thing you notice about your tutor is that he is particularly strict, claiming monopoly on your time

No doubt, your success is in part one of the many strings tied to the Phantom's fingers

On his part, the steadily increasing demand for your attention derives in one part from his strict tutelage

The other is a shameful self-indulgence of your company

With time, the partnership and tutelage settles into a sort of comfort

You settle into the routine of your practices, becoming accustomed to his demands and expectations

A balance which quickly becomes unstable once a suitor seeks your courtship

I will lean more towards the direction of the remake as he has more characterization there in my opinion

Luis is a sharp man, naturally

You don't get noticed by Umbrella and find yourself in his precarious situation, hunted by his past, unless you are

And it's evident to him that you are equally competent

Your stern, cold, single-minded focus on the mission at-hand, swift reactions, and prowess with a gun makes it clear that you're experienced

Yet the unwavering focus you hold on obtaining the Amber and completing the mission makes you...indecipherable

You're a mystery for sure, and attractive one at that, and perhaps this is the spark of his initial interest

You might find he drops in next to you in the middle of action

It's an annoyance to you, no doubt

As the events of the game unfold with Los Iluminados, it turns out there's more to this mission that you had hoped

You end up wrapped up in tasks fo fetch to create the antidote for Las Plagas

Despite your insistence that it would be more efficient to split up and accomplish the objectives independently, he protests in a lighthearted and easygoing manner

Wouldn't it be better to stick together?

He just wants to get to know you better, he jokes

You wouldn't be so heartless as to push the poor man away, would you?

And yet, despite your reluctance, you go along with his plan

There's a tone of authority and finality to his supposed suggestion, a disconcerting insistence, that, ultimately, is not a battle you care to fight this day

Surprisingly, the pair of you do work well together, seamlessly responding to each other's cues despite being near strangers

Even you can see that

And for Luis, it makes his mind start to race with the possibilities of something more

What if this partnership ended as something more…permanent?

Perhaps his flirting becomes more serious, more persistent from here on

And you don’t miss the intense, serious look his gaze sometimes takes when you catch him staring at you

The subsequent wink and smile when you catch his gaze does nothing to assuage the uncomfortable instinct curling in your gut

It is better, you decide, not to know the twisted thoughts and considerations lingering there

With any luck, you'll be out of here before long

Soon you begin to notice his usual smooth-talking attempts gain a more sinister and insistent tone

His jokes about abandoning your employer, about hightailing it out with him after he makes amends with his past become more frequent, more persistent

When your nerve grows thin and you eventually tell him to cut it out, he eases off, hands up in faux surrender

Yet the amused look in his eye doesn't fade, which is all the more infuriating

For Luis, he doesn't take your protests to heart

Rather, it only has the opposite effect of hardening his resolve about escaping with you

It's a shame you can't see how good a match the two of you are, but there will time for you to come around eventually, he decides

Naturally, you are unwilling and resistant when he hijackes your helicopter, and he has to admit, it's cute how feisty you get

But it will all be for the best

You'll come to understand, he reminds himself, knocking you immobile

Tearing his eyes away from your unconscious face, he can already anticipate the scorn he'll endure from you

You'll resent him for his actions, and trust will be slow to build, no doubt

But it will all be worth it for him in the end

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for you

Coexisting with a delusional man is not what you desired for your life

Yet your training and skills may just get you out of this situation ultimately

For an agent with more monstrous traits it makes sense that you would also not be quite so welcome in general society

While Liz can, to some degree, meld into the realm of normal society as her powers are not so physically evident, for monsters it is a completely different story

Yet, through positive role models, probably also Bruttenholm, you are shaped and taught to use your powers and abilities for a good cause on the BRPD

Having a small circle, and relative isolation otherwise, it's natural that you, Hellboy, Abe, and Liz grow a close bond and develop a cooperative working dynamic

For this idea, I favor the scenario that you have traits that are easier to disguise, or that you have a strong desire to connect with humans and make friends outside of your small group

Perhaps you sneak out at night to, for a moment, have a regular life and enjoy a carefree moment

That you, even if just briefly, are a normal civilian

Hellboy, for his part, is quite your counterpart, preferring to shut-in with his cats

This is the beginning of your differences that awakens his more protective, possessive tendencies

You are such a stable and reliable companion in his life, and he can't cope with the idea that something might happen to you while you are out there

Perhaps this protective tendency begins more in the vein of a protective brother

Your free-willed, independent nature is something Hellboy strongly admires, but he wishes you would just listen to him when it comes to this matter

When you inevitably ignore his warning not to sneak out on your escapades, he decides to follow you around from afar

Even if you can defend yourself, he still feels that he needs to be there, in case anything goes wrong

I see his romantic feelings blooming at this point

He sees another part of you, one that is uninhibited and free

Your genuine, carefree smile causes his heart to beat just a bit faster

Hellboy ensures that you never see him, quite adept at tailing you despite his large stature

Imagine that one day you become injured, either in pursuit of a monster with the BPRD, or perhaps you get caught off guard and attacked while sneaking out

It isn't until the resulting possessiveness and protectiveness that wells in him does he realize the true nature of his feelings

How terrifying it is for you to see his rage at which he fights the thing that dared land a blow on you

Doubly so if it is when you didn't even know that he was watching you

In this scenario, I could see Hellboy either struggling with his feelings for Liz still, or deciding to leave his feelings for her for the past

In the case that he still struggles with his feelings for Liz, it's also quite confusing for you

He shuts himself in his room, answering hardly anyone, and you can't tell if he really cares for you or if the demon hates you

Yet he makes it clear after your injury that you are not to leave your room besides for missions

And somehow, even when you try to silently tiptoe your way out, he knows

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he installed a tracker on your phone or anything equally unhinged, simply because he thinks it will help keep you safe

Especially when you seem so intent on waltzing into danger without precaution, and he's not even a man--or demon--overly concerned about such things

At least, that would be his reasoning, and he would genuinely believe it, even if his actions are crazy or unhinged to everyone else

Once he works out his feeling I definitely see him clumsily stumbling his way through courtship

He is sincere in his feelings, but has difficulty expressing it

Hellboy is not so deluded as to overlook your consent

But that won't stop him from continuing to try, to find some way to win you over (even if there is no way in hell it would work)

And well, even if you keep turning down his attempts at confession, that won't stop him from watching over you, from protecting you

These are where his more possessive tendencies are non-negotiable, and even if you expressed your displeasure at his actions, he would not stop since he believes he needs to be there to protect you

And if you have any companions, like John, or anyone Hellboy perceives as being close with you, it will definitely send him into a surly mood, noticeably so, and he would definitely take out his grumbling on them if the occasion rose for the two to meet

If he percevived your companion to intend you any harm, whether real or imagined, he would have on issue in telling them to scram, unintentionally isolating you

You might find the number of friends you have decreasing, and you have a sneaking feeling you know why

Eventually you might end up lonely, and you might open up to him and your favorability towards his companionship may creep up on you

Hellboy I see as being more moderate in his possessive tendencies, and he would definitely do no physical harm to his competition unless justified or reasonable

He is lonely and wishes for companionship, and more possessive tendenceies tend to sneak out of him as a result of his romantic interest in you

Hellboy is well intentioned...but his resulting actions may be anything but that

And even if he pushes you into his arms by unintentionally isolating you...

So

How about musical!Erik with a reader who's as obsessed with him as Erik is obsessed with them

Like the reader knows his every move and Yada yada

As Will cast his lovelorn mind towards Elizabeth, you set it towards the apologies you would owe to the commodore

If you were tearful and sincere enough, perhaps he could be moved to spare your little brother's misdeed...

The commodore is a man you were eternally grateful for

Both him and Elizabeth held a special place in your heart for rescuing the two of you and giving you a better chance at life

As noble as Will was, you could only hope that time would he would knock some sensibility into those morals

Your thoughts invevitably circle back to the consequences you could both expect to face

At best, you could hope you wouldn't pay in bood or all the trouble he caused, especially as a mere seamstress and blacksmith’s apprentice

You had only your measly possessions and earnings, none of which could possibly satisfy the expectations of a commodore, nor that of a governor..

Yet, you did have one advantage that could steel you through what was to come

The commodore seems to have some soft spot for you

All you could see was the invisible rope around his neck now, as he smiled ruefully at your cries

With a blessing from the commodore, Will finally found his happiness with Elizabeth

Now, you had to sweep up the remainders of the mess Will had left behind

You timidly approached the commodore offering words of comfort and apologies for the rashness of your brother

Unknowing, all the while, of the burning fires of infatuation smouldering inside him, and every kind remark and well meaning gesture only stokes these flames higher

Norrington had always known that any reasonable possibility of the your union--in any official manner--would be improbable

But if anything good came from losing Elizabeth, it was hope

If a governor's daughter and a blacksmith's apprentice could live happily together...

Well, why couldn't you and him?

I don't think he's so inept that he would give up his status to be with you

But then again, he did that all to capture Jack Sparrow...

He evidently takes pride in his work and title, which you could argue is a reason he is so fixated on hunting pirates

Despite that, he can't seem to shake the idea...the image and hope of you and him together

In general, I see any possibility together of Norrington with someone of a lower station--especially in a yandere context--as unofficial

Meaning that you wouldn't be married, but he would force you to act the part

Perhaps he could help build you a more socially respectable image and status to be properly wed as his wife

Yet any benefit this might bring you only tightens the leash as well

As now, your whole identity and life is tied to your bond with the commodore

However I don't think he would resort to kidnap right away

This is a courtship after all

One that becomes increasingly stifling, as he seems to know exactly when to show up to ensure you cannot politely refuse him

Especially as someone you are indebted so enormously

Gratitude is a virtue, but beware of misplacing it
