Hiatus Announcement
Well, no muse, no time and not very many partners isn’t helping Ryouma come out of his shell at all. Therefore, I’m putting this blog on a hiatus. I will probably not be on it a lot and won’t communicate. I apologize. Maybe I’ll be back around December, I’m really not all that sure.

✰ — The sight in front of him was definitely one to be held. After Mr. Tall had shown Ryouma his tent, he was told to find a man named Nezumi, who was supposed to be sharing the tent with him and showing Ryouma around.
Don’t anger him too much, or you’ll regret it.
Those words that Mr. Tall had spoken to him plagued Ryouma’s head as he looked around for the man he had given a description before. People were all over the place, doing their normal day things, but Ryouma found them extraordinary. People with stretchy skin, or scales, or claws acted like it was the most normal thing to flaunt, even though no one else in the world had a similar trait. Maybe Ryouma had finally found a place to stretch his wings.
Finally, he found a man - more of a boy, really, with a gray ponytail, sharp eyes and a scarf wrapped around his neck, just like the man described to Ryouma.
The violet-eyed man walked up to the other confidently and held his hand out for Nezumi to shake.
“Hi, my name is Ichijou, Ichijou Ryouma. I’m supposed to be your tent mate, I believe.”
Ryouma… I love you!

✰ — The festival was a lively one for sure. Ryouma had a friend who played fiddle for a Celtic band, so he and Izumi were invited to come to the festival and listen to that band, on top of enjoy the food and drink that were present there.
Of course, booze was one of the finest refreshments and of course, Ryouma, being Ryouma, bought some. He took a big swig of it and looked and Izumi with a big grin. “We should get one of those Celtic knot painted tattoos. If we get them matching, it’ll be so cute!”

✰ — Ryouma walked into the shop, his fat, leather wallet securely in his pocket. In a week, it would be his and Izumi’s anniversary and he wanted to get something nifty for Izumi. Ryouma already showered the boy with gifts of flowers and sweets, so he wanted something a little different.
He was greeted by a Latino woman behind the counter that looked nice enough and he waved to her slightly before he came up to ask her a question. “It’s mine and my lover’s anniversary next week and I was wondering if you have anything in your ship that I could possibly give them?” he questioned in his best polite customer voice.
“Uhh…” Izumi pressed his hands together as he tried to think of a good way to explain what a seme was exactly. He’d read enough BL. He should be able to come up with a definition that Ryouma would understand.
“Well…a seme…a seme is like my Oniichan!” And on that note, Izumi reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of tickets. “Speaking of Oniichan, he got me backstage passes to the Lala-Lulu stage play! Will you go with me?” Clearly he was a bit too distracted to finish defining BL terminology.
✰ — “Your Oniichan is a seme?!” Ryouma demanded angrily, wanting to be absolutely nothing like Shougo. For as long as he remembered, he had always disliked Shougo. He was too cocky and had had everything handed to him. Ryouma wasn’t fond of freeloaders.
Ryouma’s thoughts completely went off of Izumi’s brother once Izumi mentioned that they go to a Lala-Lulu stage play together. The way that his lover’s eyes lit up just from the mention of Lala-Lulu just made Ryouma want to pinch his cute, already red cheeks. “Of course! I would love to go with you! When is it?”

Long Distance
Once Izumi got home from filming, he pulled out his laptop to draw. As he was pulling up his program, he noticed Ryouma had also logged onto Skype. This meant he was off work, too! Izumi quickly clicked into a video call with Ryouma, then started working on some LalaLulu fanart.

✰ — Ryouma had finished filming the scenes that were scheduled for today earlier than he had originally planned, so he was back in his hotel room about two hours earlier than expected.
Obviously bored, he flirted around the room, finding different things to do while he waited for Izumi’s Skype to turn green signifying, he was online. In that time, he had managed to make himself a sandwich - something very common in America, he had found, read the next scenes in his script and watched some American TV.
Suddenly, he got the notification that Izumi had started a call. He grinned largely and accepting the call. “Izumi!” He cried excitedly. “I’ve missed you - how is filming going?”
“It’s so tiring,” he said, barely glancing up at the screen, before he looked back down at his drawing. “I don’t know how you do this for a living. I can’t wait til I can be a mangaka for a living.”
✰ — “That’s true - acting and filming totally wipes your energy. But a little birdy told me that being a mangaka is all about deadlines and working into the night. Even when I helped you with your manga, we barely got any sleep!” Ryouma pointed out while he watched Izumi continue with his drawing.
“Izumi-san...” he murmured, sounding a bit too desperate for his liking. “Can you look up at me? I’d love to see those beautiful eyes of yours.”
•| He nodded gently “but isn’t it overwhelming?” He asked. He knew it was a lot for himself but Ryouma had been in the business longer and he had a larger audience |•
✰ — “Of course it’s overwhelming,” Ryouma said with a shrug before he pulled Izumi into his lap so that he could kiss the back of the golden head. “But I find ways to relief myself of the tension, and usually, that’s you,” he grinned cheekily and tightened his hold on his lover.

“Ryouma…” Izumi returned the kiss as a heated blush crept across his cheeks. Though Ryouma had said I love you many times over, his heart still fluttered when he heard those words. He pulled back and whispered, “I love you too,” against his boyfriend’s mouth.
Izumi leaned into Ryouma, resting much of his weight on him. “Say, Ryouma,” he began. He glanced at the ground as he tried to come up with the right way to put this. “…since you love me could….”
“…could I be the seme now?” If he was going to be in a BL relationship he didn’t want to get cast as the uke! No way! If he was with Ryouma, instead of the beautiful Lala-Lulu, then he’d do this right by being the best seme the BL world had ever seen!
✰ — “Uhm-” Ryouma sputtered at Izumi’s sudden question. As someone who hadn’t watched a lot of BL anime and certainly hadn’t ready any BL manga, the term semewasn’t exactly something he was familiar with. However, considering the fact that Izumi asked if he could be the seme now, Ryouma assumed that he was considered to be the seme.
So this meant that Izumi wanted to top?
“Well, uh, you’re going to have to explain to me what exactly a semedoes before I make that decision,” Ryouma explained carefully, not wanting to say yes quite yet. He liked the idea of never being penetrated; he would much rather be the one penetrating. But, if Izumi really, really, really wanted to, Ryouma would comply. Reluctantly comply, of course.
