That wasn't him being rude; he knew better than to assume Chorus had the infrastructure for anything beyond the basics. Milk wasn't exactly a necessity for human society to function.

He decided not to press too much on the subject for now, though, especially since they were almost to the coffee shop. Or was it more of a cafe? Hard to say.

So... An espresso, but she's going to be a little sad about it. It was almost an inside joke; a running gag, more or less, and, frankly, practically a named menu item at this point. A Desspresso. They had a cappuccino machine, but no milk. Turns out, milk requires a dairy farm of some variety, and a supply of a domesticated animal that can be milked at any scale. They were still working on crops, so... Not the top priority.
