Ich bin nicht sauer auf dich.
Ich bin sauer auf mich, denn ich habe dir die Lüge geglaubt, dass du bei mir bleibst, obwohl ich genau wusste, dass du gehst.
Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines He wrote a poem And he called it āChopsā Because that was the name of his dog And thatās what it was all about And his teacher gave him an A And a gold star And his mother hung it on the kitchen door And read it to his aunts That was the year Father Tracy Took all the kids to the zoo And he let them sing on the bus And his little sister was born With tiny toenails and no hair And his mother and father kissed a lot And the girl around the corner sent him a valentine Signed with a row of Xās And he had to ask his father what the Xās meant And his father always tucked him in bed at night And he was always there to do it Once on a piece of paper with blue lines He wrote a poem And he called it āAutumnā Because that was the name of the season And thatās what it was all about And his teacher have him an A And asked him to write more clearly And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door Because of its new paint And the kids told him That Father Tracy smoked cigars And left the butts on the pews And sometimes they would burn holes That was the year his sister got glasses With thick black frames And the girl around the corner laughed When he asked her to go see Santa Claus And the kids told him why His mother and father kissed a lot And his father never tucked him in at night And his father got mad When he cried for him to do it Once on a piece of paper torn from his notebook He wrote a poem And he called it āInnocence: A Questionā Because that was the question about his girl And thatās what it was all about And his professor have him an A And a strange steady look And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door Because he never showed her That was the year Father Tracy died And he forgot how the end Of the Apostleās Creed went And he caught his sister Making out on the back porch And his mother and father never kissed Or even talked And the girl around the corner Wore too much makeup That made him cough when he kissed her But he kissed her anyway Because that was the thing to do And at 3 A.M. he tucked himself into bed His father snoring soundly Thatās why on the back of a brown paper bag He tried another poem And he called it āAbsolutely Nothingā Because thatās what it was really all about And he have himself an A And a slash on each damned wrist And he hung it on the bathroom door Because this time he didnāt think He could reach the kitchen.

When I tell people Iām tired, they assume that I didnāt get enough sleep last night. But Iāve been tired for years, and sleep will not fix a damn thing.

Millennial culture is having two wildly different conversations with the same person on two different apps at the exact same time
conversation 1: cheese borger
conversation 2: thatās why I think Iām so afraid of making myself vulnerable, because my father taught me I couldnāt ever truly trust anyone
The John Green Playlist
Certain songs make you feel a type of way and so do John Green books. As I have said before, I love it when you read a book and there are songs that fit the āmoodā of the book. When I read John Green books, I listen to mostly indie, alternative music. Because I feel that that is the type of music that fits his books the most. I also feel like Johnās characters would be the types of people to listen to indie/alternative music.
Here, Iāve compiled a playlist of 10 songs each for four of John Greenās novels. Iāll list down the title of the book along with the āthemeā of music that I think most suits the story/mood of the book.
(I know that TFIOS and Paper Towns have their own movie soundtracks, and both are really good soundtracks. But I enjoy making my own playlists)
1. The Fault in our Stars //Heartbreaking Love Story// These are songs that give the listener a āheartbreaking love storyā feel. The kind of songs that āpluck on your heartstringsā - Bloom by The Paper Kites - One Day by Kodaline - Firefly by Ed Sheeran - Paint by The Paper Kites - King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men - Pretend Weāre in a Movie by New Politics - Stardust by New Politics - Halcyon by The Paper Kites - Vanilla Twilight by Owl City - What You Wanted - One Republic
2. An Abundance of Katherines //Carpe Diem// These are the songs that give you the desire to jump up and carry out the latin phrase āCarpe Diemā which means āSeize the dayā or āmake the most of each momentā - Trojans by Atlas Genius - Heroes by David Bowie - Simple Song by The Shins - Whatever by Oasis - Smile by Mikky Ekko - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel - The World is Watching by Two Door Cinema Club - A Comet Appears by The Shins - Something Good by alt-J - Save Rock and Roll by Fall Out Boy
3. Paper Towns //Roadtrip// Basically, songs youād listen to while on a roadtrip with your friends. These songs also give you that āIn a car with the windows rolled down and the wind on my faceā kind of feel. - Chocolate by The 1975 - Different Colors by Walk the Moon - Beast of Burden by The Rolling Stones - Take a Walk by Passion Pit - Houdini by Foster the People - Itās Time by Imagine Dragons - Tear in my Heart by Twenty One Pilots - The Kids Arenāt Alright by Fall Out Boy - Another Night on Mars by The Maine - Everywhere I Go (Kings and Queen) by New Politics
4. Looking For Alaska //Teen Angst// Songs about raging demons, self-hatred, regret, bitterness, depression, things Alaska Young might listen to. - Kitchen Sink by Twenty One Pilots - The Mess by The Naked and Famous - Youth by Daughter - Me by The 1975 - Never Let Me Go by Florence and the Machine - Carmen by Lana Del Ray - Asleep by the Smiths - Conversation 16 by The National - Under the Gun by The Killers - Walk Away by Dia Frampton
So that was another one of my āBook Playlistsā I hope you guys liked it. And I will be posting a hell of a lot more of these because I love making them. The two things I love combined, music and books.
