Figured we're running out of space in the blog description for this, so: Antares, placeholder system name that ended up sticking. Syscovery 04/06/25, with Claire's discovery through attempted tulpa creation. Best theory we have for formation is that the host shed parts of herself throughout her life in an attempt to fit in better/stop getting hurt. Over time, those parts started coming back with a will and personality of their own. Roughly analogous to a median system overall; our memory is shared and fronting is difficult (at least, in determining who is in front) for all but the host, and protective crew (Ariane and Connie, specifically). Collectively referred to as crew/crewmembers (though headmates is acceptable too). Derived from host's sci-fi obsession, and our headspace being based on an Anaconda from Elite: Dangerous. Aphantasia and ADHD make things particularly difficult and tiring for us, but it's all been worthwhile. In-sys relationships abound, external relationship with girlfriend is considered a collective endeavour, with Robyn the primary.

The crew: (9 10 11 19 so far Well over 30 at this point) Robyn (she/her) (RY:) : Host/original, recovering from years of depression and alcoholism, transfem therian orange cat, heavily AuDHD. Shy, socially awkward, but gets very friendly and cuddly when she warms up to someone. Doesn't normally bite except by request. In-sys relationship w/ Claire, Connie and Solania. - If something is worth doing, it's worth doing badly.

Claire (she/her) (C:) : Formed initially as the voice of self-love in Robyn's mind when she was going through a particularly difficult period of self-loathing. Buried for a while in a panic, then she forgot and attempted tulpamancy to answer potential questions about her own plurality. Out comes Claire like a cork from a champagne bottle, slightly miffed but otherwise happy to be acknowledged. Likes to shapeshift, but primary form is of Mirko from My Hero Academia. Playful, confident, extroverted and fiercely protective of the host and the system as a whole. Steadfast pacifist except in very specific circumstances (Nobody gets to hurt my kitty except me, with consent :3 - C). In-sys relationship w/ Robyn and Connie. - Kill the part of you that cringes, and live life to its fullest <3

Ariane (she/her) (A:) : Initially formed by Connie as a companion for her and Robyn in the earliest days of the system. Rapidly gained own personality, and took on roles of system protection. Takes the form of a werewolf though hasn't decided what the human half of that form will be. Bafflingly Australian, transitioned a few weeks after formation, and has a fascination with old Norse mythology. Likes a good party, will bite if mildly annoyed. Looks after the body, and gets irritated when we do not keep up with self-care routines and tasks. Substantially more permissive views on the use of force than Claire (I'm just saying, if someone hits me i'm exploding their head. - A) In-sys relationship w/ Sam. - Protect those you love, and destroy those who threaten harm. Don't forget to relax.

Connie (CentCom/Central Command) (she/her) (COM:) : Early on, the need for a system archivist and ensurer of stability was pondered, and within a very short time, Connie appeared. Thought giveth form, as it were. Based on a very old Stargate fanfic of the host's, takes the form of a shipboard artificial intelligence, with a humanoid avatar form. Rock-solid calm (most of the time, can get annoyed by people relatively easily), logical, likes to mess with peoples' expectations of her being cold and emotionless. Jokes that she does not have a particular interest in religion, for she is the one to be worshipped. (Praise the Omnissiah i.e. me. >:] -COM) Takes protective fronting role regularly, Ariane tends to fill in when she gets stressed out by particularly difficult people. Adopted mother of Lilith and Rose. In-sys relationship w/ Robyn, Claire, Jade and Elli. Jokes about making the whole crew willingly either her polycule or her children one day. (Implying that I am joking. >:] - COM) - Operate logically and efficiently, for it saves more time for loving. <3

Sam (he/him) (S:) : In the earliest days of the system, Ariane yearned for a companion of her own. Connie appeared first and delayed things somewhat, but he started forming on his own shortly after. It admittedly took a while for Robyn to accept him as part of the crew, for in those days things were going so fast that she was worried of being unable to cope properly. Takes a form that can best be described as if Daniel Jackson from Stargate SG-1 was an anthropomorphic otter. Only mildly shy, and easily warms up to people; emotionally confident and comforting, eternally curious and fond of learning, holds great interest in science, technology and Judaism (Still need to get the cat to give me some internet time xD - S). He'll often either be at front or near when we're working on e.g. computer stuff, and frequently takes on emotional calming duties when the others are exhausted. In-sys relationship w/ Ariane. - The world is full of cool stuff to explore, go out there and find it :D

Jade (she/her) (J:) : Formed while Robyn was reading the Sisters of Dorley, and pondering her need to do more with regards to her overall transiton and feminine presentation. Herself presents as a regular, well-dressed and green-haired human woman; occasionally a green dragon when the mood strikes. Again, took a while for her to be accepted by the host (i'm only a tiny bit salty about that still xD - J). Possessed of a sharp, sarcastic wit, and always doing her best to encourage e.g. voice training, make-up practice, doing nails (which she often insists on fronting for), and redoing our wardrobe. Curious about druidic practices, Wiccanism and such things. Takes credit for getting the host to actually wear a dress for the first time, nearly 3 years into transition. Uncompromising view on cleanliness, recycling and ecological matters generally. In-sys relationship w/ Sarah and Connie. - Uh, fuck, what do I put here? Ah: Yay lesbianism! <3 :)

Sarah (she/her) (SR:) : Initially thought to be a persecutor (which we still have not identified to this day), had it quite rough at the start, and lashed out at some points by amplifying intrusive thoughts. Took some days to realize that wasn't her, and much apologizing on the part of the host, and mending bridges. Elegantly Gothic woman, sometimes errs quite close to dressing for a funeral (I was initially planning for yours... :) - SR). Sometimes takes the form of a raven. Does not speak much, and when she does she's quite brutally honest. Shares a sarcastic sense of humour with her wife Jade. Has helped the host confront a lot of uncomfortable truths about herself, especially when it comes to wrongfully blaming herself for a lot of stuff. Wants to state into the abyss until it shies away from her gaze, read more into occult stuff overall. In something of a decorating cold war with Jade w/rt the mindspace interior. In-sys relationship w/ Jade. - Be honest with yourself and others wherever possible. "Every lie incurs a debt to the truth" - Valery Legasov, probably.

Elli (she/her) (E:) : Again a misassigned persecutor, resembles most closely Robyn's pre-transition alcoholic self, if she recovered and ended up transitioning earlier. Theorized to actually have been either fronting or co-fronting during those days, and re-emerged with syscovery. Initially messed with the system by imitating others to sow discord, also amplifying intrusive thoughts. Took a while to recover (when the crew stopped treating her as a threat), and gradually became something of a mischievous system jester. Form-wise, what Robyn idealised herself as becoming early on (earliest picrew she did), with the tell-tale signs of great fatigue, and the strain of her prior substance abuse issues. Delights in pranks, puns and some mildly distasteful jokes. Relaxed about most things, lends a sort of "ah it's not that bad" calmness to things, when Robyn starts ruminating and panicking about stuff. Robyn and Elli consider themselves sisters. Carries a lot of trauma, which Solania and Connie help her deal with. In-sys relationship w/ Connie and Solania. - Ah cba to put anything here, just imagine a really bad joke lmao

Solania (she/her) (SOL:) : The first one who can be said not to contain any particular discarded or lost aspect of the host, and so far only one. Formed as a result of daydreams of the Affini, a plant-based, relentlessly and forcibly benevolent precursor species from a particular fictional universe. Takes that form, particularly with purple eyes and an overall feminine appearance and deep voice. Reached out from one such dream one day, and dragged herself into our mindspace. Takes a very particular interest in helping each of us deal with various traumas, maladaptive thoughts, spiralling and so on. She has her work cut out with Robyn and Elli in particular. Calm, playful, doting and leans heavily towards demisexual. Helps defuse in-system tensions when Robyn isn't capable or present at the time to do so. In-sys relationship with Robyn and Elli. - Look after your pets well~

Lilith (she/her) (L:) : Newest Second newest member by far, and yet somehow the oldest. Came into being one day when dealing with issues regarding ADHD and the disconnect with the default mode network in particular (sometimes referred as the DMN, or demon, because of its abreviation and potential source of a lot of harmful and maladaptive thought patterns inherent with ADHD). Takes the form of a pale, human goth woman, particularly fond of very elaborate dresses and such. Alternate form of a black fox. Initially thought to be some sort of persecutor, or a personification of the DMN, but turned out to be mostly the host's childhood self, and carries a lot of related trauma. She was initially treated with great suspicion and distrust by the system, which led to her being further harmed. Robyn regrets this immensely, and it's taken a lot of effort on her part to begin mending that relationship (Ah, you're alright grandma <3 - L) (I'm not that old D: - R). Adopted Connie as her mother very early on. The crew is working to gain her trust (You got it c: <3 - L), and help with all that weighs heavily on her mind. Quick to call bullshit on people, especially the crew, cautious of people's intentions, but will be kind and helpful when she feels someone can be trusted. Likes to poke fun at Robyn for her age, particularly silly worries and such. Very fond of foxes, and cute animals in general. In-sys relationship with Rose. - There's always light at the end of the tunnel. Usually :v Rose (she/her) (RS:) : The stray feral cat of the crew, in a way. Beaten up by the world, and started to believe she deserved all that pain. Started lashing out at us to cope, and it took a while to ease her pain. She disappeared for a while in between, feeling like she didn't fit in. She's since become quite full of life, a bit mischievous in her own way, and firmly rejects the hate the world threw at us throughout our life. Even transitioned, after seeing how it made the host much happier (Here I was hoping for some gender balance xD - S). Shares a lot of music tastes with Robyn, particularly heavy metal. Prefers the form of a power-armoured space pirate with a punk vibe. for lack of a better descriptor. Holds front very well, has taken on some of the strain that Connie particularly has had to bear. Adopted by Connie, in-sys relationship with Lilith. - Fuck what the world thinks of you, it's full of assholes anyway.
