does anyone else feel like they constantly have to justify everything they do? Iike I’m always mentally preparing a reason behind everything just in case anyone was to question it.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, dude, but as a general rule, women don’t pretend to virulently hate men they’re secretly in love with as some sort of elaborate courtship ritual. That’s a trope we made up to justify why the male protagonist always gets the girl in the end even when it’s starkly at odds with prior characterisation. In real life, if she acts like she thinks you’re a creep, it’s because she thinks you’re a creep!

Specifically, it’s a trope invented so that male authors (and readers) can tell themselves that the women who tell them to fuck off secretly want to fuck them, so it’s romantic and totally not creepy to continue harassing them.

Ion trust Macklemore the same way i never trusted Taylor Swift. Walking white lies. Frauds. Scammers. Just a matter of time till he slips up and shows the rest of yall. But just know. That I know. Ain’t fooling me. 

Same. I don’t care if his lyrics sound like an ally, he’s appropriating a style that has deep cultural roots, a culture he never actually experienced except through a radio living in the white suburbs of Washington state. Not trustworthy.

Yeah, I got bad vibes off him the second I saw him so I never actually listened to anything, just saw a handful of comments and like you said, they seemed like the bare minimum. I only assumed there might be more to it because normally white people don’t react positively to discussion about white privilege. This makes sense. *continues to ignore Macklemore*
