I once was lost, but now I'm found

“You have. It’s… Killian died in Camelot. I turned him into a Dark One to save his life. He couldn’t resist the darkness, I’m afraid.”

He exhaled a sigh.  “As always, you have me to watch your six.  I fought him, I can help you predict what his next moves might be.”

Peter frowned and opened his arms out in front of him in a calm defense. “Hey, I am not here to cause any problems. No agendas.” He took one testing step forward. “That’s not why I’m here, if that’s what you’re wondering.”

“Then why are you here, Peter?”  He asked, dubious about this.  The other man had lied to Nick plenty enough that he didn’t trust him.

“More or less the truth.  That I’d been the part of a minor, not very known street gang, but I wanted out.  I was always fairly good at lying by omission after all.  I was skilled enough that they were happy to overlook any inconsistencies in my story.”

“You’re going to have to be a little more specific than that.”

“Well, I’m being general.  You’re back - so clearly you’d have begun to cause problems again.  I’d like to know what your agenda is.”  Nick said, quirking a brow.

Peter eyed the knife, “Impressive knife, where did you get it?” Pan now realised he didn’t know much about his ex-lost boy. 

“Thank you.  I got it from the Special Boat Services.  It’s a Special Forces part of the Royal Navy.”

“Best two out of three.”  He chuckled a bit, fishing out his tactical knife.

“Zelena. That’s whats wrong. Oh and the second Dark One being on the lose. On top of that team hypocrite refuses to take it off again. I need to fix this and for that I need my magic.” Emma held out the vial. “Care to take it off?”

Her family really needed to quit it with this bullshit.  Nick rolled his eyes, ready to ask her how they got it off when she told him.  “Second dark one?”  The former lost one asked, taking the vial without question and putting it on the cuff.  He then slid it off.  “I feel I’ve missed something important.”

“Nick. I need your help, please.” Emma stated.

Nick had been sitting outside when she’d walked up to him.  Nick was immediately on high alert.  “Of course, Emma.”  He straightened his back, moving to her.  “What’s wrong?  You walked over to me.”  In the time he’d known her as the Dark One all he’d ever seen her do was magic herself around.

“I brought you a boy for your boy.”

Stio meant well but Nick hadn’t entirely meant kidnapping when he’d said for them to get someone for Conall.  He chuckled.  “Not exactly what I’d had in mind but thank you, Stio.  Uh - put the kid down, please.”  Gently, preferably.

“I don’t know, she could be into that.” Ikol teased and settled down, taking another drink of his beer. “I think threatening her with another five years in the academy might do the trick, she truly hated it from what I can tell. The vampires we get assigned never really liked it in the Academy.”

“She could.  But she doesn’t seem the type.”  He laughed.  “It’s a valid tactic. I’ve used it before and had it work and not work.  You just run the risk of her potentially refusing and dying - so you should only use it as a last resort.  Because if you threaten it and don’t follow through you’re basically screwed.”  Nick nodded.  “I’ve yet to have a charge who enjoyed the academy, no.  Talk to her, too.  Judas is a pain in my ass but a lot of his acting out is because of emotional problems.  That could be the cause of what she’s doing considering what she’s been through.”

“Did she?” Dropping her towel, Ginny tossed it on the bed as she padded naked towards their dresser in search of underwear. “See a fairy?” Because, honestly? In their family? Way stranger things had happened.

“Nope.  There would be a fairy circle in the yard at least.”  He laughed.  “She just has heard one to many fairy stories it would seem.  Most don’t look like the way you’d think they do.  Tinkerbell’s kind of...goth.”
