As bad as it may sound, I've been trying to be more 'egoistic' in my art lately. TBH, the latest work has even satisfied me, which didn't really happen, or I let social media destroy it.
Stop giving care about technique; is it good enough, or 'hearts number' help a lot. But it's not so easy to forget about it as fck. Y'know. I try to unlearn that my self-worth does not depend on others, which has been a huge part of me since I can remember. (Yey, bullying in early school years…).
I've been 30 for 2 days. I really want to stop giving a damn about others. I want to give a damn about myself. It's not about survive another day anymore.
Just chill and keep going. Even if it's mean drawing stupid things.

ZZZ OC: Selie
Welp. Another OC. Kinda my vibe, kinda not, but in the final conclusion, I like her. Of course she had to be intelligent construct because I'm a fan of clankers.
The wings were kinda random idea but later why not? ZZZ last time likes to add to the game 'angelic characters'. All of them have more bird ones so I made robotic design. (Inspired by Titania Donann Skin from Warframe and Freedom Gundam). She can hide them inside and don't use it often.
Of course she has to have some outfits. I noticed some robots in ZZZ wear clothes (like my Beloved Billy or Elfy) or not ( like Aria and Vesper). Looks like personal choice.
Character and bio different time, but I slowly cooking it. May I show it someday, may not. Y'know me.

ZZZ OC: Selie

In a previous post, I mentioned a book I was currently reading called Show Your Work! by Austen Kleon. This post is not sponsored. I finished it earlier today and I wished this book was available during my time as an undergrad in art school.
Austin shares lots of advice in showcasing your work to others, and not by just simply posting work online for people to see. He inspires you to connect with others, to create communities through shared interests and attending events, and to stay motivated through the challenging times of being a creator. It's more about the personal connection in your engagement and how you impact others. One of my favorite chapters (and I feel someone might call me out on this) is Chapter 6: Teach What You Know. Chapter 3 (Share Something Small Every Day) is also a wonderful read.
Just finishing this book has got me back into wanting to create again and wanting to apply the knowledge to my artwork. I am planning to reread this book (the book has 10 chapters, with each of them not being too long), while documenting my progress on what I create.

More on the "I'm obsessed with baby Lotus beetle form" brainrot. I kept thinking about how the color palette of her little baby beetle form is purple-ish/blue-ish, like the Lotus we've always known. Which contrasts a lot with the form of Natah we saw during the New War : all black. So I wondered if maybe she would've looked different without being altered/affected by the human mimicry form of Margulis. As in, her actual full on Sentient form, that would've directly evolved from the little beetle baby. So I offer to you Natah Prime! I guess. Or like, original Natah. Perhaps as she was before she looked at the Tenno and decided to take on the role of their mother.
As bonus, some baby Erra and baby Lotus because people were being silly in a server comparing him to baby birds, specifically baby Jacanas. Look it up. It's worth it.

Not the best drawing, but a good start after the long and forced break. My hand didn't like this drawing session. Idk when she'll get a body design.
Welp. She's an intelligent construct who used to be a maid a long, long, long time ago for two old ladies (yuri) who used to live on the beach. She quickly become self aware, and passed the forbidden fruit test. Yeas goes, unlucky her 'owners' died of old age.
Selie is mostly sad, seemingly without the will to live. She has a calm demeanor and is sometimes capable of jokes. Big nerd for comics and cartoons. (She's a fan of Starlight Knights too). Selie try to find a new place for herself in new life, what is not easy for her.
From other facts, she's a room mate of my other ZZZ OC Lydia. (Lydia is her landlord or however is it called).
Small fixes and better shading in some places. I have to see the shape.
