The ages that everyone insists on are not canon! That is correct. Here’s the thing, okay, people have looked at these characters and gone “hey, they look this age so they must be this age” when it’s not true at all. The defense of these ages are so antis and all those little assholes feel Righteous about attacking other people.

In reality, there is no evidence, there is nothing supporting their claims that Pidge is a fourteen year old gremlin, that Lance and Hunk were sixteen, etc. Everyone just slapped an age on the characters and went “yeah okay that’s perfect” and accepted a wide-ranged accepted headcanon as canon.

No, no my dears, it’s fanon. Not real. The show doesn’t even state if Matt is Pidge’s older brother everyone has just assumed so and, well, we all know what happens when you “assume”. 

People who have accepted these “canon ages” have said that they’re not okay with pedophilia but are okay with child soldiers (because if Pidge is 14 then that’s what she is, same with Lance and Hunk if they were 16).

Let it be known that you brought it up even though we were all thinking it and AAAHHHHHHH

I laughed so hard I woke my cat but lmao yeah I guess that’s a good example about writing something but then making sure that in the content yourself you’re showing that it’s not okay.

If you’re in the ML fandom, I’m currently writing a fic that explores things like consent and shitty stuff that happens in life because, I mean, it’s a coping mechanism and I’m going to write about the stuff that happened to me but I’m going to write characters I like exploring their way out of it.

Or, ground breaking concept here, you just block the people who are doing what you don’t like and move on with your life? Honest to god, you hover over someone’s icon, you click the little person, and you choose “block”.

It is not rocket science.

You’re never going to be able to stop people from shipping things you deem as “gross”, you can’t fix everything you deem is wrong. Sometimes you just have to live your life the best you can and learn how to move on???? This policing culture on Tumblr is super gross and so unhelpful because all these kids are learning really shitty ass things that will get the shit beaten out of them when their older. Tumblr is raising a whole new type of bully and it’s so disgusting.

Have you noticed that I don’t reblog anything to this blog? That I don’t even tag shit? It’s so easy to be a fucking decent person that I cannot comprehend how this website is such a garbage bin. 

If you keep seeing something that you don’t like and make no effort to control the content you see your life is going to be hell for the rest of eternity and you have no one else to blame but yourself.
