Confusion.   Heartbreak.   Hurt.   Those were all the things Betty was feeling.   She couldn’t understand what Archie was getting at or what he wanted.    ❝    Then why are you telling me all of this, Archie?   To hurt me even more?   I’m already confused as it is.    ❞   She didn’t want to hurt Veronica or Jughead.   They were two of the most important people in her life and hurting them was the last thing that she had wanted to do.    ❝   How was I supposed to know?   You’ve always been into Veronica even the first time I tried to tell you how I felt.   You picked her.   How could I know this was how you have always felt?   Tell me how.    ❞   Running a hand through her ponytail, she looked at Archie with sad eyes.    ❝   That’s great, Archie. You don’t want to lie to yourself but you also don’t want to be with me.   Tell me what do you want.    ❞

Betty and Jughead sat in the diner where they were sharing a vanilla milkshake.   Things were always so complicated in Riverdale but at least the one thing that would always stay the same   ;   they had each other.   The love they felt for the other was true and real and Betty was glad that she had him in her life.   After being lost in her thoughts, she looked up and noticed some curly haired, in heels with a lot of makeup staring at them.    ❝   I’m sorry, can we help you with something?     ❞   It was late and weird things always happened at night.

❝    I’m sorry, Cheryl.   For everything that you have been going through.   I know losing your brother must have been really hard for you and for your family.     ❞   Cheryl was usually not very nice to people and even to the blonde, but lately she had seen a different side to the red head.   Maybe they could have been friends in the future but not with how she was with her ways.   Betty wasn’t sure if she could completely trust her but she wasn’t one to turn her back either.

❝  I don’t really have anyone to talk to except for my best friends but I can’t even tell them this.   Have you ever been in love with your childhood best friend and then he falls in love with your best friend?   It’s not a happy thing.   It’s actually something that I wouldn’t want anyone to go through.    ❞

❝   We need to talk about what happened, Archie.  ❞   The only thing that Betty was thinking about was Archie and their kiss.   It was the only thing that she could think about.    ❝   I don’t know what any of this means, Archie, I just know that I can’t stop thinking about you.   But what we’re doing, it’s wrong.   We’re going behind the people that we love.   We need to figure things out and find out if this is what we really want.     ❞
