Want me to make you feel upset even more? In the Manga we know Lord Death evaporates/disappears since Kid finally becomes a full Shinigami, (Grim Reaper). So we know now that he is the new Lord Death. I wonder sometimes however if randomly while he’s out talking to the witches possibly, and doing some business that when he’s done sometimes he does this sign to call his dad. Having every intention to talk to him and say how much of a big success he is accomplishing.  But realized when the mirror shows up, and he sees himself in the reflection, it makes him cry possibly falling to his knees, as he has that sudden realization that he is Lord Death. And that he will never be able to thank his father for all he has taught him, or say those words he normally signs; ‘I love you’
