1 - her “sadistic” nature towards comrades (fatally injuring those in the ada multiple times before allowing them to leave) is due to the burden her ability puts on her mental state; in order to accommodate to needing to hurt patients more than they already are, her mind has taught her to enjoy doing so

2 - going along with one, it’s also a matter of perfection. though she knows how her ability works, she has grown to care about her co-workers far too much to allow any false hope in their conditions

1 - shopping. that much is incredibly clear

2 - listening to music while reading-- detective novels, mostly, though she keeps that a secret from ranpo.

1 - trying so hard to tell ranpo he doesn’t have an ability. she wants him to be happy

2 - a bit of a regret she feels multiple times for short periods of times: not being able to heal dazai using her ability

1 - she fears not being able to help her friends or patients in time for them to live. she toys with them when it’s under her control, yes, but the times where she might be just a millisecond too late are something she’s terrified of.

2 - she’s scared of not being strong enough, as well. she’s confident in her fighting abilities in normal combat, but that doesn’t mean very much against ability users. if she’s gone, she’d be unable to help those who needed her.

there were few things that surprised the doctor, anymore. life in the armed detective agency has sprung up more impossible scenarios than she can count, and she had already known the importance of keeping her wits about her in her profession. however, taking a small detour on her way home after shopping provided one of the rare surprises in her life, in the form of the (former?) guild member lovecraft. her steps came to a halt, and though there were no pedestrians around, she still scanned the area to understand the situation. 

rarely used, mundane medical supplies were pulled out of cabinets that yosano could’ve forgotten about, despite spending so much time in the infirmary. she didn’t usually need them, after all. her ability worked on anyone-- except for one person. once the antiseptic bottle was safely closed, a gloved hand reached out and grabbed said person’s arm, dabbing his hand with the cotton ball without warning. 

a part of her cursed her own earlier thoughts, ‘shopping today is a bit boring, isn’t it?’ another part of her told her to leave the store and find a different one. the part of her that won out in the end, however, was the one that drove her to take the hat out of a customer’s hands before he got the chance to inspect it further, and place it on top of her own head. turning toward a nearby mirror only elicited a scowl from the doctor, taking the hat off and tossing it back towards the one who she took it from.
