TGIF!! I love car rides and I get most of them on the weekend, lots of traveling this holiday season woohoo!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my human and animal friends! :)

Thanksgiving is coming up and I am finding myself at the market all the time!  Thankfully we are just a short brisk walk away from the local market.  I’m not allowed in the market so I just wait outside hoping that it won't take too long.. 

Last evening my best friends were having a delicious dinner which included some Indian curries, garlic naan, and other items that smelled painfully delicious and I was not offered even one morsel! I have been trained to stay below the steps of where the dinner table is set up until I’m given the OK to come up and join the humans.  What about the rest of you, are you allowed to come to the dinner table or do your best friends make you stay a respectable distance from the dinner table as well?  

So now I am finally in Orange County, and boy has it been an adjustment! I am not so sure about how I feel about the beach yet, but it sure beats living in the kennels of the rescue center..more to come on my adjustment period and what I had to do to get used to living with the dogs of O.C...

I didn’t know it at the time, but my life was going to change in the best way possible.  My future BFF was looking for a furry friend to call her own.  She made her way from sunny side Orange County, CA to West Covina, CA and had to come to visit the shelter to see if we would be a fit. Jack had just recently been adopted, so as you may guess, I was ready for a home of my own after Jack left the nest!  I was so excited to have a place where I could call home :)

Hi Everyone!  My name is Penelope aka Pen, Penster, Little Monster, Pensteroni, and the list just goes on and on!  I was roaming the streets of West Covina, CA with my buddy (maybe son!? Jack) and we were living outside a school before getting rescued by a very kind lady named Denise from Good Dog, Dog Rescue.  When she found me, I had just recently given birth to a litter of puppies and was malnourished and extremely underweight.  I also had mange which is a skin disease caused by parasites which caused me to lose most of my fur temporarily.  The rescue center took care of me and made sure that I was properly taken care of.  In about 3-4 months my fur had grown back and I was ready to be adopted.  You can follow my journey from living off the streets in West Covina to now living along the coast in sunny Orange County, California here on "Deep Thoughts" from yours truly.
