Marco recently spoke and gave a demo of the DIWire at University of Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico for UDESIGN. UDESIGN is a series of conferences created by the Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design of University of Monterrey as an effort to create an opportunity for students and other creative professionals to share some time with successful architects, designers or artists and learn from some of their experiences.

2.5D Bending

Helix

With the bend pin fixed in place and an angled ramp attached to the DIWire, we fed through a length of 1/16" steel to create this 3D form. One constant bend, one smooth helix.

Cone

The cone was drawn as an arched square wave and bent with periodic user assistance.

Cylinder

We bent a square wave form with some well-timed hand rotation to make this cylindrical shape.
