He was raised by a single mother who came from Kazakhstan to Germany to study make-up artistry. Through that he got in contact with different performances early on and quickly gravitated towards ballet. His mother supported him to the best of her abilities but the constant financial instability of his family made him abandon his dream of becoming a professional dancer and instead, due to neglecting school for balley practice, joining the Bundeswehr.

His original plan was to become a pilot but they saw potential in him to make it as a Kampfschwimmer (which the scrapped outfit would have been inspired by) where he found his purpose for a while.

During a failed op where his squad and him were presumed dead he was found and rescued by Nikolai who became somewhat of a mentor figure after he shared his desire to learn how to fly.

They kept in touch over the years, so after Berik left the Bundeswehr Nik offered him a spot at Chimera where he got caught in the mess that is Krueger and Nikto's relationship.
