Since Derek had all that infinite knowledge, do y'all think that since he also knew everything about Avery, he realized Avery was just his type?

I've seen a few posts and comments on how Derek had probably loved the good, bad, etc about Avery. But I thought, what if, even before that, he had a type, and it just so happen to be Avery. Checked all the boxes and all that.

And imagine he knew that he would never have a chance with him because of their circumstances, whether Avery liked him back or not.
