It struck me once while thinking about Eric and his dog sparky that if sparky was at the point of sickness in old age that probably meant he was in his teens (old for a little Yorkie) and that if sparky had been with the Harris’ since puppyhood that meant this important little dog has been with Eric for the majority of his life. For someone who seems to have been affected by instability a lot I can see why he probably really really loved the constant company that sparky offered as a pet, which makes it so upsetting to think that Eric was watching him get sicker and sicker 🥺

He’s literally 16…he’s a minor…. It doesn’t matter if you’re a minor too, you’re still sexualizing someone who doesn’t need to be sexualized.

Mitchelle Hartsough used to work with Eric and Dylan at Blackjack Pizza. She often heard Eric and Dylan talking about blowing up their school, but thought it was just a joke.

Mitchelle describes Eric as; - a nice guy, seemed a little paranoid. - poor relationship with his parents because they always grounded him. - he liked german techno music, and talked alot about nazi beliefs.

She described Dylan as; - difficult person, often rude. - he hit her once, because she had counseled him on an infraction at work. - he didnt get along with his father.

“ In an interview with the Washington post, Bonnie describes having Eric as a student. ”

He was the perfect little fifth-grader. He was an A- student, small for his age. "Adorable," she says.

She remembers being impressed that both of Eric's parents attended parent-teacher conferences. His mother helped out when the class made special shirts for Halloween. "She was just a helpful mom," Leach says. "If I ever called, she was willing to come."

Leach also stated that she knew which kids would turn out to be trouble but Eric had no signs of it.
