forest witch: here grew willows and alders, their trunks twisted like giants’ sinews. around them bark lichen bloomed blue-white in the darkness. it felt like a good place, where there was old magic.

The biggest lesson i’ve learned is, it’s okay. It’s okay to be kind to yourself. It’s okay to be wrong. It’s okay to get mad. It’s okay to be flawed. It’s okay to be happy. It’s okay to move on.
recovery is a long and ongoing process !!!
it’s okÂ
i’m crying now? i needed this.
“Breathe. You’re going to be okay. Breathe and remember that you’ve been in this place before. You’ve been this uncomfortable and anxious and scared, and you’ve survived. Breathe and know that you can survive this too. These feelings can’t break you. They’re painful and debilitating, but you can sit with them and eventually, they will pass. Maybe not immediately, but sometime soon, they are going to fade and when they do, you’ll look back at this moment and laugh for having doubted your resilience. I know it feels unbearable right now, but keep breathing, again and again. This will pass. I promise it will pass.”

Shout-out to people studying with a mental illness.
You’re doing this with half your brain tied behind your back and that’s pretty badass
“Half your brain tied behind your back” is truly the most accurate description of my life I could possibly imagine
In case no one has told you today, I’m so proud of you I know how hard you’re trying

Mental illnesses aren’t clear cut. Symptoms over lap. Symptoms contradict. Some days are better than others. Some days are worse than others. It can get messy. No matter where you are on the spectrum- your thoughts & feelings are valid. You are precious. You deserve to be listened to. You deserve compassion. Just because X over there is struggling a bit more than you today, it doesn’t make you any less worthy of support.
pls stop saying words to me … I don’t have a brain..

When your head hits the pillow tonight, remind yourself that you’ve done a good job. You are headed down your path at your own pace, and with every obstacle you are trying your utmost best. Be patient with yourself, and remember that big things are achieved not all at once, but one day at a time.
