Okay, so I have three hermit crabs right now, and I wanna tell everyone about them, and if anyone has any criticisms, tips, or things I could do better, that would be amazing!

Bigfoot is my biggest boi, he is VERY curious, and loves to constantly knock on my glass, dog holes and then just leave them there, flip food dishes, and cause havoc, but I love him.

Then there’s Camper, who is just a cutie. His first day, he climbed my coconut hut, went to the top, then rolled off of it and got stuck behind it, and i had to save him. He is an idiot, but also amazing.

And lastly, my child coconut, who likes to relax, go in his coconut hut, and just chill. He’s very laidback.

Currently in my tank, I have: (all things that need to be disinfected, disinfected ofc)

- coconut and ecoearth substrate mix. I’ve been told to mix it with salt water next time by @thedailyhermit (go follow them for that sweet crab content) and I will for sure do that! It’s about 7 cm in the deep end (the stores ran out of substrate, I live in a tiny town), and 2 cm shallowest. We are for sure, for sure, getting way more soon!

- i have a salt water bowl, and a fresh water one, with a sponge, both with distilled, pure, no chlorine water.

- for decor and climbing, I have two fake plant vine things, a fake bush and cactus, a rope net, a twisty stick thing, and a coconut hide.

- their diet is pellets, dried mango, dried cranberries, peanut crunchies, fresh blueberries, fresh lettuce, and fresh carrots.

- their humidity stays around 80%, and I spray it three times daily with water to keep it up.

- I’m getting some heat pads before canadian winter starts to keep them nice and cozy.

- I ONLY HAVE THREE SHELLS CURRENTLY BECAUSE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND SHELLS IN CANADA OR THAT SHIP TO CANADA THAT DONT HAVE A CLEAR COAT ON THEM. I looked for around 2 hours today, and nope! I’ve emailed around 3 companies, and I’m hoping for a response. If anyone knows of a canadian shell business, that’d be awesome! I’d like to get that solved quickly, of course.

That’s about it! I’m also looking for crab loving friends to talk to, trade hermit crab children pictures with, and ya know, just be pals. So feel free to talk to me, even though I have legit no clue how tumblr works and am always confused.

Okay so basically I got my crabs about a month ago, and I love them very dearly. I keep their cage at about 80% humidity at all times, keep my room super warm for them, and I think I’m doing an okay job, but then like two days ago mould started growing.

I’ve done some research, and it’s white mould, so apparently it shouldn’t be too dangerous. It kinda looks like cobwebs but very dense, and I really wanna get rid of it because I’m worried it will affect my crabs!

I’ve learned it’s because of the humidity, but I can’t exactly lower that because my crabs need it.

- i’m in grade 10! a youngling, i believe.

- i love marvel! i think they’ve created a super awesome universe for all of us to enjoy, and i’m forever thankful for the inspiration they’ve given me. i remember walking out of the movie theatre when i was younger and feeling like i could do anything!

- i stan (idk if that word is cringe whoopsies) tony stark, peter parker, loki, and mantis, as well as any characters that those characters like. i do like all of the characters, but those are just my favourites!

- i’ll mostly be writing iron dad fanfic cause why not, ya know. might dot in some ships but i’m not really good at that but i’ll try.

- i love flamingoes, and the colour pink. i make every single effort to be feminine, because being feminine is nothing to be ashamed of, no matter your gender.

- i am trained to work a quebec black oven.
