I also wonder whether there might be a gender component to it. In that illustration a few of the hands specifically had painted nails, so if he was preyed after by women maybe he's uncomfortable around them?

Thinking about it, lindel tends to not really treat others as equals but as children, maybe that is a coping mechanism to keep other people at a friendly distance? What do you think?

I doubt its to keep them at distance, pretty sure on that end its just cause hes old but I think him keeping people at distance in general is because of that. He tends to isolate himself from humans AND fae to just avoid interaction with them out of distrust.

The text in that photo, btw, also says that yamazaki would describe him as a person who was "loved too much", yamazaki writes real life situations into her story (like Alice's backstory, for example), so i wouldn't be necessarily too shocked if it is written this way, i just hope its written well because there are a lot of animes/mangas that write it and brush it off as a joke or really quickly.
