L.A. Sheriff’s Officer Foils Dispensary Robbers, Cops Say

(420Times) But here’s one case where an L.A. County Sheriff’s Department employee was a medical marijuana hero. The department says that an armed sheriff’s security officer was on patrol near Pearblossom Highway and 126th Street East in the Pearblossom community of L.A. county’s Antelope Valley at 5:45 p.m. Sunday when he came across quite a scene:

He was told by a witness that a robbery just went down at a nearby dispensary, deputies said. Just then he spotted two suspects, including a 16-year-old girl, running toward him, they said. The two were allegedly armed, the department said in a statement.

The officer drew his weapon and ordered the suspects to drop their guns and get down, cops said. Wisely, the suspects did just that as back-up arrived, according to the sheriff’s department.
