Hi, and thank you! I’m sorry if you posted this ages ago, I haven’t been on Tumblr in a while. 

Hmm, I’d say it’s less of his personality, because (even if it’s entirely subconscious) if birds aren’t behaving the way we want it’s normally something we’re doing. I don’t have any experience with that kind of thing as my Pea is very skittish. Most of my time is spent trying to convince her not to be scared of me! 

Have you checked out @flock-talk ? It’s the absolute best tumblr account (or any account for that matter) for learning about parrotlet behaviour and how to train them. I’d bet money there’s a lot there that could help you! I’ve also heard more than one person say that the advice given there has saved their relationship with their bird.
