Well, Tumblr friends, it’s here. It’s done. And it’s over 100 pages. A complete (or as complete as I could make it) BBC Merlin coloring book that attempts to tell the story of our beloved show from start to finish, with special focus on the core four: Merlin, Arthur, Gwen, and Morgana.

Each season boasts 16-18 pages, with two-page spreads between each season. Check it out and let me know what you think!

I have grown so much as an artist from working on this project. I’ve refined my skills and style, and I can almost trace that journey through the pages now that they’re all together. And honestly I couldn’t be more proud of myself for persevering and finishing the whole thing. I have no idea how many hours have gone into this, or even just the choices and planning alone. It took a year and I’m really proud of it.

These are free to use however you’d like, as long as you don’t steal credit/reproduce for profit/etc. You know the drill. Don’t be a jerk and rip off my art. And also please don’t use it to fuel AI!

Sized at 8.5 in x 11 in, recommend testing your desired medium before printing! Some folks use watercolor paper, others just standard printer paper - depends on what you’re coloring with!

I have made a physical copy, but I haven’t done a full batch yet. It’s really down to interest! If you want one, let me know - I’ll collect a list and base my quantity on how many folks would like one. The more there are, the cheaper they are to order!

But that’s why I made it available in its entirety here - please feel free to print and bind on your own if you wish. And if you do, for the love of all that’s holy, TAG ME so I can sing your praises!!!

As for what’s next…

My box is open for suggestions and ideas, so feel free to get in there and I'll see what I can do! I’m happy to give commissions a go, maybe try my hand at some fanfic scenes or something! I’d love to make custom coloring pages. I’ve also started a re-draw of Merlin’s spellbook! Also considering other fandom books now that I’ve done my passion project here lol. Idk!

You talked so often about the stars and the universe and about your fascination to look at constellation. You did with such pure childlike wonder I admired you so much for. While you get to admire them from close now we will have to look at the sky to admire you. You were a star when you were here and now you became a true star. When I started painting after your death it felt like I had to do something with your arrows, cause they became such a symbol of you. And then I remembered your love for the universe and felt it was only fitting to turn your arrows into parts of space. I hope you enjoy your time up there. Miss and love you always, XX.

it's been 40 weeks without liam.

and since it's been 15 years since 1d was formed, i'll say what i've been saying for years: the band would've been nothing without him. they wouldn't have made it through the live shows and they sure as fuck wouldn't have had the career they did. and everyone who has ever even tried to downplay his importance in the band should neber be allowed to listen to their songs again.

hearing aj talk about liam like that is just beautiful. i really appreciate that he kept stressing how talented liam was and you can tell he really meant it. it's always bittersweet to hear someone who was close to liam talk about him.

AJ McLean of BSB on Liam: He was an absolute dream to work with. Even more talented than I think anybody, unless you're a true diehard Liam fan or 1D fan - to know him on the level that I got to know him - his creative mind, his lyrics. I got to hear some music that we may never get to hear, and he was just so talented, so sweet, so genuine. He was just a light. Really great sense of humour. We would joke about a lot of stuff. We'd talk about the parallels between our band and his band and just different writers/producers we worked with, and we also talked about recovery and addiction a lot together and about mental health. It was really heartbreaking to me. He will be missed. Honestly. Truly. I just hope people remember him for the light, the talent, the genuine heart he was. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and he was just a sweetheart. He truly was. Just an extremely talented individual.
