it all started as a thought,

and from there came a decision,

after that, was a commitment.

i ran, i ran from the thought that was left behind.

i was afraid of what i used to call home that was never meant for someone like me.

i made a wish, and there you were.

how you stained my world with colors,

and my vision of everyone became a blur.

that's when i realised, i have found myself a lover, this summer.

always the muse, but never the artist.

how do i move on with my life like i'm not a drop of oil in a bowl of water.

how do i feel found if i can't even seem to realise that i lost myself,

and if i did, it was long ago that maybe it is all i have ever been in my entire life.

and so when i look at myself in the mirror, i think of how well i belong in this world and how i wish i did not.
