1. Recognize that you have choices. Usually, people-pleasers feel as if they don’t have a choice, and they have to say yes when someone asks for their help. But you DO have a choice – and it’s Ok to say no.  

2. Decide on your priorities. If you already have commitments or you have set priorities then it’s easy to say no as you have a genuine “excuse”. Do what matters most to you, and please remember - it’s your life!

3. Stall for time – don’t give an answer right away. Say you need a bit of time before you make up your mind. That allows you time and space to think about the consequences. For other things will likely suffer if you take on far too much.

4. Don’t be afraid to add conditions to your yeses. For example, say that you’ll only say yes if someone else says yes as well – or only take on a new task for a set period of time.

2. You do know that black skin comes in every shade(possible for people) from white to onyx? So what you just said is you aren’t attracted to skin if it’s on a black person.

3. You “literally” not being attracted to black skin(im assuming you mean darker skin), is due to ingrained racism. You being conditioned throughout your life by media and etc, to not find dark skin attractive at all. It’s one thing to PREFER to date lighter complexioned people. BUT if someone has dark skin and you immediately right them off as unattractive? That’s due to racism.

Light skin exists for humans in regions where there’s less solar exposure, it is also easier for them to acquire vitamin D given their lack of solar hours and being farther away from the equator. To say it is a random mutation ignores the millions of years of evolutionary adaptation to our geographical locations and how impressive early humanoids could adapt that led to what we are now.

HOMO SAPIENS(humans) have been traced back to Africa, not Europe. It’s also been proven that humans migrated from Africa(near the equator) to the colder and less sun rich norther and southern regions.

But you kinda shot yourself in the foot when you highlighted that light skin (and white skin) was evolution. Because that means it wasn’t the ORIGINAL complexion, a mutation occurred that allowed for lighter skin to arise. Meaning humans had darker skin and adapted to the climates they moved to.

And what do we mean by “find” attractive? Does that I mean I just have to think they’re cute or does it mean that I’d have to consider them for a potential sexual interaction? 

I didn’t say attracted to in the original post… It was simply about if you can’t admit that there are beautiful/attractive black women it’s due to racism. The conversation was shifted by one of the commenters to a conversationof physical/sexual attraction, and it’s explained how not being SEXUALLY attracted to black women when you are SEXUALLY attracted to women, is in fact, racist.

If you don’t get it, you don’t want to, and that speaks volumes.
