One of my customers recently was shocked that I also paint abstract paintings.  Truth be told I paint a lot of things, in different forms. Currently my main focus is in contemporary abstract paintings in oil and acrylic paints.  For many years I painted people, than landscapes and now abstracts.  I am always evolving.  For the most part I now paint the abstracts and these fun wearables.  Both bring out different sides of my artistic interests. I haven't been on IG too much due to the fact I have been working on a few commissions. This small acrylic gem is headed to California.  I was commissioned "to do anything I wanted". So I took to typography for my inspiration.  I used various letters from the gentleman's name and numbers from his address to create the composition. The color palette I stole from the view out my window of autumn in Wisconsin. You can scroll through the images and see my progress. WHITE and SIMPLE. White and simple is really hard. I have been drawn lately to a white palette. I’m still working on textures and a patina vibe but I find this palette a challenge.
