A Different Kind Of Island
After a few days back on Orcas and Seattle we have made our way East to the sleepless and vibrant island of Manhattan. I had planned to write a much longer post about life on the road since SF, but we boarded our plane yesterday only to discover that there was no in-flight wifi. The horror. And then, by the time we landed and scattered to our respective accommodations, it was time for dinner and then sleep. (Speaking of dinner, I had a fantastic meal last night with an old camp friend at Smith and Mills in TriBeCa. Tiny little place with amazing food and an interesting style. Sort of industrial. The bathroom had a fold down sink! The beauty is in the details, folks. I had the chicken. It was delicious.)
Linda and Emma joined us on this trip! Emma was such a good girl on the flight yesterday, no complaining, just sleeping and looking around. The Sheridans remain super efficient travelers, even with a little one, and it's a pretty impressive to watch their whole airport routine. If there were such a thing as The Amazing Race: Family Edition, let's just say I know who I'd put my gypsy dollars on.
