sorry about the bad lighting, it's been really sunny for the past few days and i dont want to scorch my babies ❤️ here's my monstera, it only had two major leaves when my gf brought it home and now it has a HUGE third leaf with fenestrations, the tallest one here 🥹 im definitely thinking about getting her into a bigger pot with a moss pole, but i'm wondering if i want to use that vs the wooden poles i have her on now. anyways. she's so pretty and doing so well and i love her 🥹🥹🥹

MY STICKY TRAPS ARE WORKING MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
my gf and i picked up sticky traps for the pests! and im going to put together some pebble trays and do rock id (i do have another unstarted sideblog for this.....) to tumble some for pretty trays later!!! and we also picked up more potting soil yayyyy. AND two air plants.. ive never even heard of air plants before (silly but whatever) and i want to set aside some rocks for them too ^_^ unpolishedddd bc that would be so cute.. OHHH i could sit them with my favorite fossils ^_^ here are our new stricta purple heart and brachycaulos!!! ft. hello kitty keeping them company :)
my plant shelf :) i should make a page that lists all of my plants ^_^ the shelf was made by my gf and her dad!! and through the window you get a peek at my garden bed! there are a few houseplants not pictured here for quarantine reasons 💔 but these are most of my babies! it was an accident that they're mostly tropical plants, but a happy one. I think i like them the mostttt ^_^

woke up early and realized that my plants have pests * _ * taking this as an opportunity to learn how to deal with them... its looking like fungus gnats and spider mites ;_; the spider mites were worst on one of the plants we brought home recently so that makes sense u_u the little calathea... i wiped all of the plants leaves down with a mixture of gentle soap+water so i hope that helps them.. it makes me feel a little bad that i havent really had time to mist them lately but that kind of lights the fire under me that i needed to actually put together their pebble trays again ;_; one good thing today though is that my peace lily is thriving... she has tons of new growth since she actually has space to stretch and im happy for her :,)
also im really new to sideblogs so please dont hate me for accidentally posting 1 million non plant posts on here 🙏🙏🙏
got new plants at the farmer's market yesterday YAY got a thai basil plant and gave him a haircut and he's going to be SO happy... he was $3 and actually there's two plants in here so 🤫... AND got a very rambunctious strawberry mint plant and saw TWO people pick it up before setting it back down. but im extremely excited to make a simple syrup out of it sooooo. SMILES. your trimmings will NOT be wasted!!! we also got basil micro greens hehe... our herb garden is WONDERFUL AND PLENTIFUL
realizing with how bad i am at taking pictures that im going to either just have bad pictures of my plants forever or that i need to become good at taking pictures.... PAINNNN

btw since may ive been planning + prepping a garden and ive gotten realllyyy into houseplants. just repotted my peace lily that me and olivia bought to celebrate getting an apartment together.... ^_^ and i wanted to get my lily a rlly big pot and then i was scared i got her too big of a pot but um. SHES SO BEAUTIFUL AND HAS SO MUCH SPACE NOW. here's her repotted and here's her original pot for reference. with her trimmings. her roots were a nightmare like im genuinely embarrassed about it but i pruned her and now she's going to be doing betterrrrr... i love her ❤️
