Ok so this au is actually sort of a modern au, but basically Wizard Cookie's family (i do actually have a family planned out) move to a new town and ofc, they gotta buy the obviously haunted house, bc the housing market is shit and it's big and its cheap bc it's run down. So wizard cookie starts noticing things are off, there are random cold areas, his phone will randomly act up in some areas, things will get moved around, doors and cabinets open and close on their own, lights flicker randomly, ect. And he's like "yeah this place is haunted" just as a joke, bc he knows ghosts aren’t real, old houses are just like that, but then one night he encounters a ghost around his age, gingerbrave, who's like "yeah no lol this place is haunted as FUCK" and so now wizard cookie and gingerbrave, alongside wizard's new friend from school Strawberry Cookie, are on a quest to help all the ghosts of the house complete their unfinished business and pass on to the afterlife proper, whilst also trying to maintain grades in school

-Wizard's family consists of his mom Moonlight Cookie, his ma Sea Fairy Cookie, his little sister Cream Puff Cookie, and his uncle Stardust Cookie
-Gingerbrave is a ghost from like the 1700s he's a fucking Victorian child. In life he was a peasant boy who was always getting into trouble. He had a rlly sickly younger brother, Gingerdozer, and his mom Chili Pepper was definitely struggling to feed all 3 of them, but she loved them regardless... Even if she did urge them to turn to petty theft occasionally.
-there are planned to be sort of "boss fights" in this!! There will be minibosses(usually banshees or ghouls or things of the like) and the main bosses are gonna prolly be the ancients, as wraiths
-strawberry REALLY wants to be wizard’s friend, and Gingerbrave also wants her to be wizard’s friend. Wizard is not too happy about this bc he just wants to focus on his schoolwork and doesn’t have time for this shit. He’s slowly being endeared to both of them, very much against his will.
-Wizard is not wizard’s real name in this! It’s a nickname he got bc he’s always studying magic and wants to move to parfaedia to become a wizard once he graduates. His real name is Ice Cream Sandwich Cookie.
